So sorry to hear about Dora. It's such a bummer when things like that happen. Your new female is beautiful! I can't wait to see what happens next ♡
P.S. you could name her Luna!

    Hello

I have a pair of Foerschi bettas (wild) and they've been together a bit over a year. Fairly recently, I had seen the female being so aggressive towards the male & supposedly this is the female showing her strength & prowess as a mate. Noticed no mating process though so thought nothing of it except I noticed the male disappeared for about a week. Even thought he had perished from stress from the female aggression. Well I saw no mating, no fry. Things returned to more normal relations between the female/male with much less aggression. Well I noticed a few days ago three little babies. My guess is when the male had disappeared he was holding...(mouth brooder). They are not teensy little fry, but three that survived somehow mom & dad & me not feeding anything real small or alive to what was at least three fry that survived. I have no idea how these little guys survived so I hope all goes well with them going forward. They are big enough not to be eaten by mom & dad & come out to eat all foods I feed, frozen, etc. Eventually I'll separate them out of the tank. I've had some very trying times recently so that I have something happen like this has meant a lot.'
I'm so glad you're going forward with your breeding. Your new fish is so healthy looking & so pretty. I love the black "cow print" with a pale yellow. I'm sorry your Dora passed though. It's a creepy experience to lose a fish. They are pets to me and I know you really love your fish. It means a lot to see people care for their bettas as you do. People should feel so happy to purchase a betta from you as you are so careful when picking out your pair and make sure they are healthy. It's so hard to buy a fish from online and from pet stores as some are not strong fish and die much too soon. Bettas are such wonderful fish and definitely not a "beginner fish" to be taken home by just anyone. They are such a fascinating fish. I'll be sure to continue to watch your videos as always and now to look forward to following your new spawn. Hang in there as they say!
Would be great to hear about your garden, what you're planting etc., and also your interesting finds from the past. I love things like that1

I've never had wild bettas! I'd love to try getting a couple. They're so interesting and crazy how different their care is compared to domestic bettas. I think Betta Splendens will always have my heart though 😂
Thank you so much for your support! Excited to share the new progress soon!

@@GraciisBettas They can be more shy than domestic bettas. Also very sensitive to any changes to their tanks, like moving them to a larger tank or adding a snail or the like. I've had them disappear in their tanks for a couple months and then come out and act like nothing's wrong. They are interesting and beautiful in their own right and in time just as personable and great a pal as the domestics.
Yes, I too love domestic bettas and have a red veil tail and a lavender dumbo female as part of my fish friends. I will always have domestic bettas. I'm not sure of how many you have now or what kinds. Takes some time to get into all that after so many changes going on for you all. Can't wait to hear about your garden and what you're growing and if you've unearthed anything new. Look forward to your videos when you get time to post. Things seem to just unfold normal in time.
