If you can hold off making big decisions right away, it's not a great time while you're grieving. I mean at least give yourself a couple of weeks to digest what's going on I'm thinking about what you want. Where do you want to live? What do you want to do? And even if your husband left all the money to the kids legally, it goes to you. So if you wanted to fight this and get something so you can make sure that you're taken care of you could. You have options! So if you feel like you're being screwed over financially it would be worth your time to talk to a professional, you might even want to do that anyway because you're not in the state of mind to think clearly and know what's best for you. You might be used to just taking care of everybody else and not worrying about yourself but now you need to because nobody else is looking out for you.
