I always appreciated his approach of researching exploring and being engaged in dialogue between human and environment , I find his art cerebral art focusing mostly on scaling ,landscape density and form Collective engagement became literally part of production process in the corse of his career
One again the ubiquitous background sounds of music in the presentation and questions arising. For what? by whom ? Is sound just as much a part of landscape as static solid art ? What of the people with sight loss? Is sound of the changing weather part of the installations ? Are installations inclusive to anybody? Can spectators go away and do the same elsewhere? Who owns the coastline?
The brown nose critics will always worship the form of whatever it my be, change the name artist place object ,it's still the same thing., any way nice work Mr artist👍
hmm....so would not any sculpture of any human be "The Body as a Found Object"? I mean the sculpture itself...the actual "thing" is an object, therefore it is by default is a "found object" no? I definitely like the thoughtful placement of his sculptures more than the idea of the body being a "found object" though.
Hes saying that the science inspired sculpture is interacting with the space, so it makes you notice the space that you might ignore. You may notice the little quirks of the sculpture as you walk up. The acceptance of mystery bit just before, is talking about how its open to interpretation and you may project your feelings and dreams onto the sculpture. ie feeling tangled in it, or like you can climb up into the light
I think those "art experts" are just making things up :) haha. I think if you need people to explain using sophisticated words for common people, its likely not meant for our understanding nor enjoyment
Love Anthony Gormley’s work. Makes me give more thought to my own bodily existence.
He has the ability to present the emperor fully clothed and more to the point the audience is in a frenzy to believe. A job well done.
