Same when I moved to Tampa in 2021 I took a pay cut from St. Louis, MO. Same company different location and my rent literally doubled moving to Tampa. Insurance, is high too and wages has not increased a penny in three years. Very crowded here too. Florida is pretty that’s about it. Im in the process of moving back. I will try Jax in the future.

@@AskCurt thank you for your feedback. I have friends and colleagues in Tampa and the cost of living there is higher. It's very beautiful. Best wishes on your journey. Reach out if you decide to give Jacksonville a go. 🤔

I moved to Jacksonville in 2021 and it was great at first... then the price on everything doubled and tripled in just 3 years. But the wages basically stayed the same! It's a retirement state for a reason. If you don't have the money saved up to enjoy and reap the benefits of the sunshine state. Don't expect the work to sustain you comfortably

The thought of living in any state that has oppressive HUMIDITY makes me want to vomit. There Soo many places on West Coast states that are very inexpensive to live in. That Texas and Florida hype is a JOKE along with all other states that claim it’s better to live in those places.

@@shirmac494 thank you for your feedback. That's what makes this a great option. We all can choose where we want to live. It was humid where I used to live but it was also cold and grey skies and so I personally will take the heat and the humidity. It's great for my skin. Best wishes to you.
