When I lived in Atlanta in the mid 80s (and once again in the mid 90s), I watched Channel 2 News almost religiously- heck, I remember her with Don Farmer and Chuck Dowdle back in '87. This woman is definitely the Grand Dame of Atlanta news.
I'll be in Atlanta on July 25, so I get to watch her in her final broadcast on Channel 2.
You deserve rest and relaxation, Monica. Thank you for 37 great years of coming in the homes of metro Atlanta.
