Those 9V power outputs on Misha's amp are brilliant. Delay and/or reverb in the loop, and off you go. Much better idea than trying to build something generic into the amp.
I bought your bigboy Invective years ago....... and not for the djent but the options, but even more impressive, the full color clarity in clean. Amazing. You can then really get any sound with any effect true. Then when ready to get into Misha Mode .... hit the switch! Good concept and design. Thanks..... Peavy please get back to 100 American made.
Played through many of amplifiers from Mesa to Marshall jvm 410 H, EVH 5150iii Orange Laney all tube amplifiers. None of those come close to the Peavey invective series all of those do not disappoint that's for sure. Best sounding amplifier to my ears is the Peavey invective I've had both versions of the Invective 120 and 20 watt I'm getting another 20 watt I miss it for home use. Buy one try it out you will not be disappointed!
I honestly prefer the 6505 sound to the fender/EVH stuff. I like the flatter frequency response, and they don't have that midrange-bump like the 5153 6L6 model. I'm not saying they sound "bad" of course, I just like the 6505 "OG" tone.
which makes sense since when they play live every tone for each song is automated through midi with the axefx, so adding a new amp to fit in the mix with other 2 guitars would take a lot of work
to be fair, it's not like he put zero effort into designing it. it's not like the invective is crap or anything, it's actually one of the best amps in terms of features and practicality.
I actually hate combo amps. I like heads and cabinets I can mix and match and the larger cabinets to me sound better and not like some small box. The big boy amps just rule. You can always slap a small preamp pedal on the amp to adjust the volume lower for house levels without losing great tone on a big amp by putting it in the effects loop. I learned this a couple of decades ago. Even a small $80 pre amp pedal that has a volume on it works. I use the Mooer US Gold 012 on its blue channel. Works like a charm.
With Misha's fanbase consisting of 11 dudes, 3 of which play guitar and only 1 has used a real amp ever... Peavey has made the right choice to stay irrelevant, broke and dead. Make a Yungblud signature amp next....oh wait, Epiphone already got him, well, too bad, there are no more guitar heroes to choose from.

Sorry, but pine is cheap trash wood. Anyone who knows anything about woodworking knows that birch is the superior wood for building cabinets, be it kitchen or 4x12’s. Pine is certainly cheaper, and that’s why they used it. Can’t stand marketing the BS. 🙄

@@lovecraftmusic8717 Poplar is a good quality wood used in guitar bodies even. It’s not my favorite for a guitar body, however. As far as in a cabinet? It’s a hardwood, and easy to work with, so it should be just fine.
Using cheaper woods and cutting costs is a good thing for mass markets. You won't be playing stadiums with a 1x12 combo amp, believe me. The sound is more about the speakers (size and frequency response) and the size of the enclosure and type of enclosure (open back vs closed back or ported)... read up on some sound tech data.

So much arse-kissing of Misha in this video. Embarrassing. Also, I never believe amp manufacturers who say stuff like 'Country players use this amp just for the cleans'. Why the F would they buy a high-gain monster amp and just use the cleans? They would buy an amp deisgned for that type of sound.
I didnt like the 5150 because it was eddies. And i don’t like the invective because its mishas. I loved my usa 6505+ for 13 years but I toasted the power transformer and decided not to get a peavey at all. Moved to friedman. I’m not a djent guy. I play in a 90’s tribute band
