I have been in the motor trade in UK for 37 yrs and Mahendra has assembled and designed a super multi purpose vehicle that beats Toyota and ford.It looks ,performance and design is outstanding and made in India
Glad to see a crisp and sober review without excessive dramatizations and sudden pan/zoom shots. It felt like it was shot in one complete shot from start to finish. The presenter is way ahead of the sing-songing and cliché -overdosing reviewers, adds a touch of class as well.

Fantastic review. You are fast becoming one of my most favourite reviewers / presenters in India. And, definitely saree over skirt, in case you consider a wardrobe change.
I don’t know weather it’s better or not all I know is Fortuner’s actual life cycle initiate after a decade of its purchase.And so does it’s resale value it’s more than gold.
Even ssangyong make reliable cars
This car is tuned for international market while in Australia, almost every owner of Rexton (G4) gets suspension upgrades which makes it a very smooth ride on every surface. On top of all goodies, this vehicle can tow 3.5 tons, best in it's class! Should add boot capacity and how buyers can use the cabin with flexible sitting arrangement otherwise best review video ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I wish this didn't make me sound like some kind of elitist, but I was surprised by the presentor's statement that buyers for big SUVs in other countries buy them to make a statement and NOT for the extra utility.
Because my tastes are quite different, I don't consider this to be that attractive a vehicle, but then most new cars and trucks sold here in the U.S. look ugly to me with their abundance of contrived slashes and bulges.
But even though the majority of vehicles on CarWale are not and probably never will be sold in the U.S. I am still interested in these reviews. As always, very well presented.
We do get Mahindra tractors here, though, so it is interesting to read the comments about quality.

Fabulous review, classily presented too!! Just a question though, I hear from other reviewers that Alturas isnt as planted on high speeds but does just fine at City speeds. However some say otherwise! What to believe really? Asking coz I've booked one and I drive max on City roads with occasional highway excursions. Besides, am a rational driver and don't generally cross 2k on RPM, so prefer soft foot on accelerator.

Alturas G4 - Mahindra's way of innovation: slapping their badge on someone else' creation.
Hi, thank you for writing to us. This is how a business strategy works in most cases. And lest we forget, Mahindra owns SsangYong. The Korean carmaker had negligible brand awareness in India, so selling a Rs 35-40 lakh car in India, under the Mahindra badge makes a lot of sense.

Mahindra’s are cool,they give you so many features for that particular price range which it’s competitors don’t,but these features like the sunroof motor fails,the touchscreen isn’t that responsive in a few years and it’s shitty plastic interiors looks great but feels like shit,and when it comes to the engine the first 7000-12000kms is smooth and then you start getting some weird rattling sounds and so many other issues,this is where the Toyota fortuner takes the lead with simple and minimal interiors but an impressive engine reliablity 💯💯💯

ENDEAVOUR should be ur choice, Alturas is poor in looks which also matters, if ur considering look only then fortuner.
