recently picked up selfwound again and came up with literally the same deck, except instead of veteran I run some shackles. didn't wanna go without any locks and it actually has an alchemy tag, so it can be played through Ermion and Bride if necessary. feels solid so far

Interestingly, defender on the right of Melusine is almost always better, because at the start of your enemies turn he'll have 6 strength and 1 armor, whereas on the left of Melusine he'll only have the 6 strength. This is due to the fact that on the right, he'll trigger his berserker ability one turn earlier than on the left.
Precision Strike still works, just needs Heatwave and an agitator to have more opportunities to enable Zoltan and Munro. Control with tempo works really great in engine meta.
I fought a deck recently that used Renfri's gang and made a lot of copies of them, and I mean a lot. Couldn't keep up, so I passed. Then in second turn they shuffled back all of those copies into the deck, and pulled one Renfri gang out which summoned all the copies, like 10 of them back to the field. That was pretty meme-y but effective.
Additional consideration: Lady of the Lake instead of Ermion. I've been playing with the final version of the deck since yesterday and have not had it brick! I've been finishing most matches with a lone madroreme as my only remaining alchemy card in deck, so I'm not missing out. Also I rarely have Melusine and Restore in the same round (by removal or not having Fucusya/summon), but a nice secondary point slam is to stack damage onto Champion of Svalblod and then restore it!
1:23:56 Is there any reason to not play the veteran between melusine and that priest? I mean, he gives bonkers points if hes there, and it even would take care of the skulls with melusine, turning them into points, rather than dealing self damage with no gain.
I explain in the beginning how I don't feel she consistently plays for her provisions since we need to find her in hand round 1 in order to prevent an early summon then mulligan back mid game to try and thin out late game. There are many cards we need to draw in order to make our play work, adding 1 more this doesn't feel comfortable imo. Usually she gets answered anyways after the first turn of use.

@@alexanderammerl2404 I honestly prefer youtube, feels more natural to navigate, but that's mostly due to the fact I use it for over a decade. Twitch is still fine and if someone's aim is to stream, it's a better option than yt I guess. It still comes as a surprise to me that for some it is a complete no go.
Quick note on Match 2: If you had stacked the rain from Melusine in a single row, you lose 1 charge per turn instead of 2, which eventually reaches enough to revive Defender.
Why did they nerf Melusine that hard? Didnt noticed until i wanted to try this archtype, holy shit, the veil change on her is devastating, she used to be an amazing card and now u have to play her really meticulous cause u can lose her if u dont have a pellar or if u missplay using sigdrifa's rite on her, rest of the cards are good and the Sigvakd with Knut combo is so fun and plays for tons of points, love the deck ❤
It's useless to reach Pro Rank. I'm concern about satisfaction to play than any performance in this game. And sadly there are not really satisfying decks/stuff to play, except Mill, Regis and Salamander.

Underrated comment. Self wound is not in a good place right now. Knights and elves beat this deck no problem and both are popular

I think imma finally give this deck another try. Everyone says SY is the hardest to learn but I'd say this deck is.
How similar is this to 10.11 self wound do you think? I want to learn the self wound archetype as I'm running into it a lot this meta
