greetings from Europe-Slovenia. I am just starting at rod building trying to explore and learn from the start. im pasionate fisherman fishing on fresh and salt waters. when my father died ten years ago i have got his rods and one of them is old 2 section, 300cm and 200-300g Dam spining rod. it has a bad spool holder so my goal is to change grips and spool holder. and my building journey has begun. 😊 this is second video of yours that i watched and many more to come. thank you for your time and effort to pass the knowledge. looking forward for new videos. 😁 cheers
Great video! The little bands and surgical tubing were a game changer for me as I was building rods! The other tool I found really worth the money was a butt wrap alignment tool!
Do you ever have issues with order multiples of the same exact blank and tip-top size being different? Just experienced this for the first time. Wondering how prevalent this is. Had another blank where I even ordered half a size larger than specs listed for blank and it still didn't fit.
It happens a bit. That's why I keep an inventory of tip tops. When I was only building a few I would get the blank in hand before I ordered components for that reason.
Looking forward to the series and congrats to the winner 👍🏻
Thanks for watching Lovin!
