I personally did this run myself. I got carried by Hellshock most of the time until I got the flipper, which is easily the best gun I used for the run.
Perhaps a small tip, dont know if anyone knows this. But the Holy Spirits sidequest on Athena's gives a shitload XP when you also harvest the ratch livers. I always get a level up after this quest, I think its almost an entire bar. Always thought this was some sort of glitch.
K6 did you know that the hotfoot teddy has unlimited rang I was playing around with it and ran around the corner and it was still damaging the enemy through the wall
If I get bored of this, i visit joey for several times, regear and move on. Trial of cunning/fervor are best for ring farming. You get the enough amount on only the first section of the map (takes only 2 minutes). Then move on to the Joey immediately.
I wish they would buff a good portion of the quest reward weapons they have great concepts and mechanics behind them but they lack the ability to make an impact in combat

If you are talking about the Viewer Badass events, it is a feature on Twitch! The viewers have a chance to have a Badass named after them at certain time intervals

My favorite way to get XP is to play through any of the phenomenal dlc's this game has.
I was actually disappointed with the krieg dlc. I hoped it would as good as the clapastic voyage but fell short.

Mayhem 11 increases enemy health, shields and so forth considerably

You don't need mayhem for kill o the wisp from undertaker
Mayhem or TVHM. Undertaker won’t drop it on Normal mode

Maliwan Shotguns can’t drop before level 8 and Undertaker caps at 7 on normal mode
