I love how this music video portrays the more intimate, wondrous parts of life. Nobody else is around, it's just you and some inexplicable, magical event that years later you wonder if it even happened.
I saw a metaphor for all of life; everything interesting to us, everyone we've ever loved, every obsession we've ever had, is just us being fascinated by an interesting signal we see in the background of the universe... It's all life really is
Songs bring so many memories. Hometown reminds me of being a child as I listened to this during high school. Now the more I grow up in college the more I forget what life is about. I hope to never forget that in my midst of living I am my own home

This song reminds me of how much of a rush life is, everything just has to go fast if you wanna get somewhere in life or that's what we see on a daily basis atleast. Gotta work fast, study hard, and all of that just to get old and have no use for all the hard work in the end anyways, we see people rushing for trains, getting annoyed in traffic jams. All because that's what society requires of us and it's pretty sad. Modern society wants us to rush our lives giving us little to no time to actually enjoy it.
A few weeks ago. Woke up in my tent at first light, in the mountains of central France. Striked camp and got back into my car to continue the trip. Turned on the music. This came up as the car glided along the road, winding downhill between old volcanic chimneys as far as I could see. Colors exploded under the sunrise, towers of volcanic rocks glittering above trees. French 79. Perfect moment.
The feeling when you were a child and you got into the car with your parents in the early morning to drive to go on vacation sounds exactly like this beat

I've never been affected by a visual art like this. It feels so special. The music is good, but the passion in those actors eyes. This expresses sentiment so strong it hurts.
Maybe a little late but damn i feel exactly like that! The tension when they waited for this... thing to happen again, not knowing if it ever will, and (at least it felt like that for me) also being a little ashamed of being so pleasently anticipating it and idk like sort of hiding it from the people around them and feeling sort of special that it happened to them allthough it happened to everybody or at least multiple persons but they don't know because they didn't tell anyone because they were afraid it would destroy that special feeling they got from it. And then it _did_ come back, and they were so lost in their own fullfilment and joyfulness. I don't even know whether anything was meant like I experienced it but it definitely created a feeling, a really strong feeling or atmosphere or whatever without saying anything and that made it very special and intense

i listened to this on lsd this past weekend and oh my god it was incredible. i closed my eyes and let the close eyed visuals take over, with the help of the light changing to the beat on the screen. it was insane.
I heard this for the first time when me and my girlfriend went to Paris last year. We got back from the city, left the lights off and I stepped on the balcony with a cigarette, looking over the peaceful city glowing at night, just barely seeing the Effiel tower above the roofs of tall black apartments. Smelling the smoke mixed with the cold night air. She turned the song on her speaker and came to me to tell me how beautiful the view is and how happy she is to be here with me. An amazing moment in my life, I hope to never forget.
I love how each of these people is experiencing something extraordinary. They're scared by it at first yet once it's gone, it stays with them, they're unique, with their own experiences of it. For the moments that they see the lights, they're entirely unique and alone in the world, and they crave it again, to understand more. It's beautiful.
This is perfect. I absolutely adore this song. It makes me want to dream, it makes me feel like there is a special purpose for me. I dream of opportunities and peace in this video. I love it more than anything. It calms my mind of every bad thing I swear.

I'm listening to this while going through my old Tumblr blog, and I can't describe what I'm feeling. It's sad and beatiful how fast the time goes by, and you just can't go back. All you have is old pictures and memories.

Bravo French 79 !
I have listened this track hundreds of times the past weeks. Makes me feel like there is so much more in life! Thank you French 79, for making this beautiful music 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I discovered this song during the first week of quarantine last year, and I can't describe the vibe it gives me. Something felt unreal about that first week in March. This song perfectly encapsulates the overall feeling of that time; it is amazing.
I was blown away when I first heard this, and now weeks later I keep coming back to this song. Simon/French 79 really hit it out of the park on this one. The wonderful synth sound design mixed with these vocals is divine. thank you for this art, and please make more
I love this song not just because its so danceable and paced well, but because it's very hopeful-feeling. I love the builds at the beginning and end - the whole track is splendidly arranged, truly!
This video has rapidly become an all time favourite. The song and music are already so evocative, and the video just hints at a deeper unspoken truth of what fascinates us all. 10/10, a true masterpiece, this video has literally moved me to tears thinking about the metaphorical relation to all of our lives.
I love how they are all cautious and have a childlike curiosity about what’s going on slightly worried the first time. It’s something that surprised them from their normal lives. Their way of thought has changed now. Their normal lives are missing excitement. They now look for the action again but don’t find it for a while. The action takes on their life and they think about it while going through their normal lives. They search for something like it nonstop effecting others around them. And finally they find a blissful surrender when they find what they are looking for. They feel connected to something bigger. They are now more...
I don't know why, but the concept expressed in the video (at least in the way I interpret it) is fascinating: an eldritch being or entity that uses light and technology to communicate to individuals that have nothing in their lives or are otherwise bored, all giving them meaning through the light and a purpose: "follow the signal"
Negative. The old woman is also the young woman. The man is also the boy. The little girl is the man's daughter that the old woman is talking to thru the radio.
It blows my mind how well this video is filmed, edited, and choreographed to the beat of the music. EXCELLENT job by the director and his team! It's hard to believe that the song is just as good. All around, a phenomenal music video. One of the very best of its kind since Michel Gondry's video for Star Guitar.
I love how the number three is represnted everywhere : - in the melody (it's literally made of three notes) - on the triangles (three sides) - the radio has 3 numbers - the traffic light has three states -3 heartbeats arround 1:35 edit : i know it kind of also works with 4 but am too lazy to update this. it's also funny to see how this comment is getting more attention recently than when I originally posted it
BRAVO ! I suppose this is what they call or called "The French Touch", which is a damn good "touch"😜!
I'm listening to your music all the way from South Africa... im spreading it for sure, it's so futuristic and sounds better than everything I've ever heard... I love it
To me this song & video is about the patterns we see all around us, that we attribute to an existence bigger than ourselves. It is as though our own inner dimensions determine the forms that are most meaningful. In that communication we find a purpose that cannot exist simply by being.
The colour scheme of the album cover remembers me of the 80s and 90s Peugeot's racing livery and it feels like a big throwback. As for the song, I'm glad TH-cam recommended it to me, it's very good, with some bits reminding me of Danger
I only discovered your music about a month ago, when the TH-cam algorithm put 'Between the Buttons' in my recommended playlist and when I listened to it my jaw hit the floor. Since then I've been exploring your back catalogue and every tune is sheer class. Thank you for such sheer aural bliss. I shall look forward to more in the not so distant now. x

This video is just incredible. For me it’s about how we/our feelings and the way we see the world change since childhood. How we always wait for a sing, some special sign, maybe from walky talky or from the sky…and we get them but mostly dont even notice
This song really does make me rethink life and think about all the good memories. It makes me think about how I want to do more things that will make me feel happy again one day.

Every time the lights are turning down
Then I try to close my eyes to see my hometown
I don’t want to change my life
I need to go back in time

I cannot or have the time to describe this songs influence on my life...just that the lyrics/vision and plot are my life
I'm listening to this while going through my old Tumblr blog, and I can't describe what I'm feeling. It's sad and beatiful how fast the time goes by, and you just can't go back. All you have is old pictures and memories.
Time is weird fucking thing man. It’s sad how fast it goes and in the end you’re left with only the memories. Like a picture in your head and a feeling in your heart.
Tin. Simon, vous envoyez de la purée, magique. Merci, continuez.
Everytime the lights are turning blue
Then i tried to close my eyes to see my hometown
I don't wanna change your life
Flying to the back in time
I feel like a child wearing his cotton cloth
I don't need purified mind
The future and the past are really confusing
But I keep my feet on the ground to keep trying
I don't wanna change my life
Flying to the back in time
I feel like a child
Wearing his cotton cloth
I don't need purified mind
Bravo French 79 !
I have listened this track hundreds of times the past weeks. Makes me feel like there is so much more in life! Thank you French 79, for making this beautiful music 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Totally agree🙏🙏🙏
Merveilleux, c'est une musique très puissante! Bravo French 79, vous êtes les meilleurs!
I discovered this song during the first week of quarantine last year, and I can't describe the vibe it gives me. Something felt unreal about that first week in March. This song perfectly encapsulates the overall feeling of that time; it is amazing.
franchement? la meilleure ^^
I was blown away when I first heard this, and now weeks later I keep coming back to this song. Simon/French 79 really hit it out of the park on this one. The wonderful synth sound design mixed with these vocals is divine. thank you for this art, and please make more
And I always thought it was Sarah Rebecca's voice. hehe
That feeling when You hear good music and it puts a smile in your face..
I feel sorry for the people who haven't yet discovered this song
Plz help me , I can't understand !

*This is what quarantine do to you.. exploring things beyond unimaginable. To every random people who thinks life ahead of him/her stay strong.*
This is such an incredible song! I feel as if I could fall into the deep layers of sound as if they were an endless pit of feeling
Amazing tune !
I hope I never forget this song. Timeless euphoric beauty.
MY FAVORITE BANDS! French 79, La rueda o el barco, Metronomy... This has been a great year !!!!
Dear French 79, you are my favorite artist. you convey emotion better than anything ive ever seen. thank you
Check out The Chemical Brothers if you haven’t already. I feel that way about them.
Love the whole feel of this song and the progression of it as well as the music video, everything about it is perfect.
It’s amazing how an extra terrestrial phenomena is making people obsessed. Just like love. ♥️
This song and video is one of the most beautiful expressions of it I've ever seen
I love how the number three is represnted everywhere :
- in the melody (it's literally made of three notes)
- on the triangles (three sides)
- the radio has 3 numbers
- the traffic light has three states
-3 heartbeats arround 1:35
edit : i know it kind of also works with 4 but am too lazy to update this. it's also funny to see how this comment is getting more attention recently than when I originally posted it
Good observation, ternary rythm thats it !! :)
Wow. You’re amazing.
i think there were 4 heartbeats unless im mistaken but otherwise yea
The kids also paint triangles and squares so it's 3 and 4 I guess Is some sort of progression?
@@edoardom3677 I guess you're not wrong since there is a 4 number (I don't have the word) melody at the start
Comme toutjours. Magique. Cocorico!
BRAVO !
I suppose this is what they call or called "The French Touch", which is a damn good "touch"😜!
This song just really vibes with me it takes me to a void which is filled with all the happy moments that I had ,Amazing work French 79.
I'm listening to your music all the way from South Africa... im spreading it for sure, it's so futuristic and sounds better than everything I've ever heard... I love it
Brillantissime.
This artist is the best TH-cam accident to ever happen to me.
So glad I discovered this musician- perfect blend of melody & momentum.
Hypatia Muse he has many great tracks ❤️ found this this week, made me very very happy
Their songs are amazing
,can make me dance when I'm awake and sleep when I'm sleepy.
I shall look forward to more in the not so distant now. x
same thing here
The world needs more music like this right now.
This DESERVES, not only views, but full attention. This made me think about things I've never thought before.
listening to this song is doing something to my emotions & soul dude that i can’t explain. this is giving me hope, making me happy, inspiring me, making me realize the beauty that is music, people, people’s stories, the oneness that we share. ♥️ i’m so happy & glad that i share time w artists who make such incredible music. ♥️ I love you all!!!!
This song is the theme to 2020 it fits well with the confusion and uncertainty of this year
No one is talking about how good this video is. Like you could do like a whole tv show about this and I’d watch it.
*Netflix lurking from the dark*
This video is just incredible. For me it’s about how we/our feelings and the way we see the world change since childhood. How we always wait for a sing, some special sign, maybe from walky talky or from the sky…and we get them but mostly dont even notice
Heard this once and I ordered the LP internationally from your official shop. That’s how impressed I was.
I think you're the most interesting artist that I follow. Keep going, you're crazy !
This video made me cry tears of joy into the relation of our common bound of feeling towards music. Beautiful video. Juat wow!
The most beautiful thing I've ever heard 😍❤️
This song really does make me rethink life and think about all the good memories. It makes me think about how I want to do more things that will make me feel happy again one day.
this feels like clear, warm water and stars running through your veins
This song gives me that "Everything will be alright" vibe
