We must always remember that the struggle for democracy and freedom does not end with one movement and/or administration. Its flame must always be kept alive from generation to generation by patriotic Filipinos so that the people may always find light and hope at the end of a dark tunnel. Keep on singing for freedom. I was barely 10 yo when I walked with my family (aunts & cousins) from Guadalupe Bridge all the way to where EDSA Shrine is now, 37 years ago. We may not be the big wigs of the peaceful revolution but we were the common/ordinary Filipino people who took to the streets our support to what we strongly believed in - DEMOCRACY.

The clearest thing I can remember from Edsa People Power Revolution was singing "Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo" and chanting Makibaka wag matakot with my playmates. I was 7 years old then.

This song brings back memories of our historic moment of our lifetime. The peaceful revolution against a ruthless dictator known all over the world. Everywhere I go or meet different race. They ask me about what I feel and why and what happen to the Philippines. Why the son of a dictator raise again to power and why Filipino voted to a manipulator.I just keep quite for a long time but at the same time wanna share my own feeling if foreigners ask me about it. Some die hard Filipino are bashing me and trying to block as much as I could if I share some news item in my info wall. It is my info wall not their info wall. This will remind to those who are die hard fans, why this EDSA revolution was well known through out the world. Fight for freedom.

Tuwing nalalaman ko at nakikita na may mga naunang henerasyon na tumitindig at nangunguna sa mapagmahal na pakikialam at paninindigan, ako ay nabibigyan ng inspirasyon. Sa aking isip, hindi mawaglit ang katotohanan na kaming mga kabataan ang susunod at papalit sa mga bayaning ito. Minsan, ang tanong ko, kakayanin po kaya namin? Hindi magiging madali iyong pag-akay sa iba sa katotohanan, lalo na sa panahon ng mga kasinungalingan sa social media. Pero kahit mahirap, ang pagbalik tanaw sa mga kantang ito at sa EDSA ng 1986 ang nagpapaalala na posible ang hindi natin sukat akalaing mangyayari dahil sa pinagsamang sakripisyo at pagmamahal ng mga matatandang pinanday ng panahon at mga kabataang nagpapahalaga sa bayan at kapwa. Ipanalangin po ninyo kami. Ipagdasal po natin ang isa't isa. Mabuhay ang diwa ng EDSA. :)
