This, THIS is exactly what awesome writing is. Less than 10 minutes in and I'm already feeling so connected to the characters. This show balances comedy and real drama so well. I'm so head-over-heels for this production its crazy.
I love how in the first song the woman specifically mentions getting “the girl” when telling the audience what a spy is supposed to be and then when Kurt explains what a spy is, he mentions everything except for womanising. I love the foreshadowing.
I am loving the music! Very catchy! And I am deffo being drawn into the plot. But I just have one question... is this musical about spies? Maybe if you used the word "spy" more in the songs I'd know for sure.

Spoilers: So the really sad thing is that Curt decides to try to be a spy again because he thinks Owen would want him to and to be happy and move on with his life. Which is not the case. And watching the first time was heartbreaking with Curts grief, the rewatch is heartbreaking because he's wrong and knowing what happens at the end

Foreshadowing is a dramatic device in which an important plot point is mentioned early in the story to return later in a more significant way.
