A mosin nagant M1891/30 however, was factory sighted in WITH a bayonet. Thus removing the barrel will slightly decrease accuracy, infact. A M1 garand is not sighted in with a bayonet, but we were able to sight in my buddy his Garand WITH a bayonet a few years back. It shot just as good as a garand without a bayonet. We removed the bayonet, and well...The accuracy dropped alot.

The reason why the grease guns visibility decreases (when stalk is folded) is because it's for closer rapid fire when at point blank range,also paratroopers liked it because they wouldn't hit as much stuff with a folded stock.
The different buckshot is based on thickness of the pellets, yeah?And the choke on the end of the barrel manipulates the spread, I believe. Some bayonets are known to make rifles shoot a little off center. That's the rumor anyway, dunno if there's any credence to it but it makes sense to me.
00 Buckshot vs No. 4 is just a different size (and thus count) of the pellets. Lower numbers are bigger (with less pellets), and after you get to 0 you add more 0s for even bigger pellets (and of lesser count). Basically comes down to area saturation vs penetration. The duckbill is an attachment that makes the spread pattern more horizontal, so you can for example hit multiple targets standing next to each other. But since people are vertically-shaped, you will hit less pellets on a single target.
There's only one thing missing now though... The M1/M2 Carbine. In fact, it was very massively used in Vietnam that even those Militia that cleared the Viet Congs out of the South and started public executions of suspected Viet Congs all used the M1/M2 Carbine.
Just a question, does the M14 in the game have a full auto mode? It's an absolutely useless feature, but I was still curious if it followed the actual M14.

Why does the M1911 have the hammer up instead of in the cocked position? its a single action firearm, meaning it can only fire when the hammer is cocked. So many games get this wrong and I cant figure out why............
Nope, the M1911 is single action, not like a Glock or other modern handguns, those are double action. You cannot fire the gun without first cocking the hammer.

I would imagine the choice is for people who want to potentially hit more surface area with smaller more numerous pellets as opposed to having a handful of 00 pellets.
The Shermanator, I am pretty confident that collapsing the stock of the weapons probably Gives the user a quicker Aim Down Sight time than having an extended stock but also counters that with reduced Accuracy.

The purple smoke is a marker that you can use to order artillery/air strikes or some type of support. Also note the the Grenade launcher has a flip up "leaf" sight that can be used for shooting grenades anywhere outside of short range. If you don't know what it looks like, it looks like the sight on the grenade launcher from TF2's Demoman.
In terms of buckshot the number next to it is the size of the pellet The number on the box is the shot of the shell I can't describe it all here but being a gun guy you just learned this overtime

Pretty sure you have the same amount of ammo for the M60. You start with 1x100rd box already loaded and 3x 100rd boxes in reserve. = 400rds total For the 200rd option, you start with 200rds + 1x 200 round box in reserve. = 400rds total.
the difference in the shotgun ammo's is i think the no4 has a tighter spread. also the "Stakeout" is from black ops 1. which was set in vietnam somewhat.
I'm think you press the 6 key in order to swap between types of rounds for the M79 Launcher. At least RO2 used that key for the misc stuff on guns (i.e. Barrel swaps, scoped to iron sights, ping tricking, etc.)
you forgot you can zero your weapons, also you can attach the c4 to walls, and whit the grenade launcher you had to press x or something to switch to the other rounds

The gun sounds in this game are the most realistic I have ever heard, but no game have ever been ever to capture the loudness of the shot. I own a SKS (on of the battle rifles used by the Viet Cong), and one clip of those I cannot hear anything but ringing for about 30 seconds.
When you shoot recreational your hearing is not damaged so much you go deaf. Usual cases of hearing loss occur from actual combat, where the weapons used are at a much higher caliber. I know plenty of people who shoot more than me and still hear fine.
did they get rid of squad leaders?? seems like a odd choice especially with Vietnam where sergeants were more important. as we're both the Lt.s and captains. in the direct combat zone.
About your Far Cry comment: Far Cry 2 and Far Cry 3 both had advanced (for the time) fire effects, as well as flamethrower weapons, so your comparison works with either game.
I can just imagine what it's going to be like when you're holding a building with your squad and a WP grenade comes through the window, followed by everyone screaming and trying to clear the room.

Interesting, they are using the M16A1 variant, which would mean late Vietnam war, not early with the original M16 model. How can I tell? The original M16 did not have a forward assist, the M16A1 had a forward assist (a feature still on M16's/M4's today) and other improvements from lessons learned earlier in the Vietnam war. +The Shermanator, 00 Buck is the current US Military standard, it features 8 lead pellets each measuring .330 Caliber, and No 4 Buckshot features 21 lead pellets each measuring .240 Caliber. 00 Buck retains more power down range but less of a chance to hit at range due to the number of shot and how well the grouping hold, where as No 4 Buckshot has a higher chance to hit at range with less power.

The duckbill is for controlled spread of the pellets in a shotgun.only shooting the pellets horizontally.which is kind of the stupidest thing ever because shotguns are for spreading pellets into a target. :/
Kenneth Wang but then again hitting center mass is important which would be anywhere around from neck down to belly button up, but with the duckbill you could still hit center mass,in short there are just the amount of negatives and positives with it attached.
as ken said the seals created it for a horizontal spread, but they also developed it for 008 buckshot , which each pellet is the ballistic equivalent to basically a .30 carbine round flying at you. It was developed to be able to hit multiple personal and shread foliage at the waste level to open lanes of fire when an ambush occurs or they are ambushed. The duckbill is pretty much perfect for the jungle environment, but only if you're using beefy pellet sizes, it still works with standard birdshot but on the tail end of the spread you wouldn't be able to put someone down, not that birdshot works that well in the first place in the jungle. Basically it's only good for jungle combat and action movies. in any other combat role for a shotgun it makes it boarderline useless

Thank god they brought back being able to put on and take off your bayonet! As for what it does to your gun, it increases aim sway.

Thats only for the first shot after that the recoil cocks the hammer via the slide.

The Duckbill combat conversion has a longer tube, which means more shells in the magazine.

Turn up your headphones loud enough and I'm sure you can achieve permanent hearing loss in-game as well!

That's some insane recoil on the M16 like a full auto .375 HnH. They usually don't recoil at all unless you're shooting 2000GR 5.56!!!!!
If you have not found out yet the button to change the barrel is 6 or at least in RO2 and rising storm.

The duckbill is for controlled spread of the pellets in a shotgun.only shooting the pellets horizontally.which is kind of the stupidest thing ever because shotguns are for spreading pellets into a target. :/

Kenneth Wang but then again hitting center mass is important which would be anywhere around from neck down to belly button up, but with the duckbill you could still hit center mass,in short there are just the amount of negatives and positives with it attached.
as ken said the seals created it for a horizontal spread, but they also developed it for 008 buckshot , which each pellet is the ballistic equivalent to basically a .30 carbine round flying at you. It was developed to be able to hit multiple personal and shread foliage at the waste level to open lanes of fire when an ambush occurs or they are ambushed. The duckbill is pretty much perfect for the jungle environment, but only if you're using beefy pellet sizes, it still works with standard birdshot but on the tail end of the spread you wouldn't be able to put someone down, not that birdshot works that well in the first place in the jungle. Basically it's only good for jungle combat and action movies. in any other combat role for a shotgun it makes it boarderline useless
