thanks my man. Was in purely rx8 asking you about this exact setup. knowing i'll have to cut a little square to feed my lines (which are stainless steel -10 ) from the outter most fitting will make this easier
After practically tearing the motor out of my 8 to redo the oil cooler lines, I'm almost convinced of just buying a nice crate motor and putting in an ls. Could you provide some advice on what motor/motor mounts I would need? I know I have to cut the cross brace and modify it. Did you have any issues with the computer after putting in the ls motor???
Pretty much used a 1/8” thick peace of flat bar. Cut it to the length of the oil cooler. Drilled holes for mounting and for the AN fittings. Then welded the flat bar to the oem bracket.
Sorry late response. I’m running the Mishimoto 12” race fans. They say they run 1800 cfm each. I run two of them. I can say they work and keep the car cool even on a 90°+ track day. I can’t say much for other brands. Since I don’t have experience with them.
www.mishimoto.com/race-line-high-flow-fan-12.html Those are what I use. Just remember they are a universal fan witch will require some customizing. I also just came across another fan company I want to try their fans pull more cfm then the Mishimoto’s the company is called perma cool. But idk how they are or the quality.
Flat Out inc nice I’m trying to get my rx8 to mid 300 I’m doing rx7 housings and upgrade my oil cooler n run a water meth kit do you think it’s possible
jeremy brunson yeah I think it’s possible. You should be able to reach that with a good street port renesis. Some boost and e85. But the way your going it’ll probably be more reliable.
I use the same Mishimoto 4 inline thermostat on my custom made oil cooler kit for my 2.5 turbo Focus ST! so far no problems at all!

No problem man. Glad it helped out.
@@flatoutinc1040 I tried finding the bracket video where you're fabricating the mounts but can't find it. Where could I find it?
Unfortunately it was way before I even thought about making videos.
I love my red Mazda rx8!!!
Girl car

Unfortunately I’ve never even thought about doing a ls swap. But there are some builds of Rx8 club forum you could look at.
Sick ass channel. Subbed
Which size fittings did you get for everything? I was also looking into Phenix fittings
-10 AN is what we used.
Look great! Will you put some mesh or something over the new coolers to protect them?
Right Pedal Down eh never really been a fan for doing that. Also depending on what type of mesh it could slow the air flow down
@@flatoutinc1040 I will be doing it to mine . the " marbles" from the track are messing up the fins.
How did you mount the oil coolers mate?

How many rotary cars have you had before this rx8 because it seems like you’ve done this before! 😁 engine looks awesome
Lol this is my 3rd rx8.
