Do We Really Need a Star Trek Picard Movie?

- I can't be the only one a bit weary of the news that a Picard movie is in the works. After season 3 of Picard, I was really hoping all of the Next Generation characters could finally ride off into the sunset after a great season of television. Sadly, that does not appear to be the case. I am always open for more Star Trek, but I really don't think a Picard movie needs to be made after the incredible ending we got in the finale of Picard season 3.

Please no. It hurts every time when I watched how hard Patrick Steward tries to get his hand gestures right with "Engage" in the recent Picard series, when it was much casual back in TNG time. Besides, it was a miracle when Picard ended in high note in season 3. It will take another one for the movie, when all previous Star Trek TNG movies were not so great
Nothing will be as good as the Picard finale, so that makes me hesitant about a movie.

I think we should move on and focus on the kids and Seven and the new ship..could have Picard as a background character that maybe provides backup from Earth or something, but as much as I'm a sucker for nostalgia I think the old crew has earned a rest.
I think they should be allowed to rest too.
I enjoyed season 3 & felt that was a good final, as a big trek fan I don't hate the idea but I'll wait for a trailer to judge

Considering what the show was, we didn't even need a Picard TV show.
I think his story is finished. The finale was amazing. Nothing more needs to be said about the TNG crew. Let's focus now on Seven and her crew

No. Stewart personally ruined the character in season one and two of Picard, playing his executive producer role. And not just him insisting on excluding the ship and the uniforms and the rest of the crew. All things Stewart admits to in interviews. No, he pushed for that whole Picard's mom had been abused story-line. That's not Picard's history, that's Stewart's history. One he detailed in an episode of a show a number of years ago on family backgrounds. It turned Captain Picard into this weak, doddering, farcical version of himself. We saw a little bit of the Picard of old return in parts of season three, but not enough to roll the dice to see which version of Picard we get in a movie.
