    Think I was 14 when this happened in my City. Now I’m 45 and finally someone has been brought to justice. Hats off to the mother for never giving up as I’m certain our local police gave up many times. Think of the money spent on Madeline McCann (middle class parents) and the resources for Nikki (run down working class area, but genuine “salt of the earth” people) and it is disgusting this has taken over three decades to resolve. I have no doubt in my mind he will receive his overdue retribution inside. This murder has never ever left peoples thoughts in the north east. I hope the mother can find peace one day.

      It's extremely unusual for such a crime to be committed by someone at that age then go 25-years without a violent outburst and yet I saw he was only convicted of kissing a 9-year old in 1999. I can't imagine she's alone.

    Whole communities like this one believed for so long that " this type of thing couldn't happen to them, after all they all knew & looked out for each other"
    But what they & others the police included learnt from this is that sitting in amongst them, acting like one of them was a monster... Don't be so quick to judge this family, you had to have lived during that time on an estates & in communities like that to understand how/why this horrific murder was able to take place.
    Her poor mother had suffered an unimaginable agony for 31yrs, yet she found the strength to channel that pain & grief into pushing the police to keep looking.. she's the reason this vile man has finally been locked up, she's saved countless other families from the same fate by keeping attention on the fact that this REALLY CAN happen anywhere
    RIP now Nikki.... Much loved, sadly missed but NEVER forgotten ❤️❤️❤️

    • @anthonymcken6050
      @anthonymcken6050 ปีที่แล้ว

      I suspect that there were people on that estate who either knew or even suspected that it was David Boyd but kept their mouth shut. Just think about that for a moment people on that estate and in the community were smiling and "grieving" with Sharon but refused to say anything. There are people on that estate who betrayed her. That efit was bang on. The police always said that the answers to that murder are on the estate.

    That's disgusting that the police f'd up so bad. Why would you want to pin something on someone that's innocent? I can imagine the pressure was on to find the man but the thought of the filth doing that to another innocent child should of spurred them on. I can only imagine the pain the mum went through of losing her child and knowing the rat that did it was walking around free

    • @Matt_Mosley1983
      @Matt_Mosley1983 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Exactly. They just look at who they think is weird and can be manipulated and try to pin it in them to make themselves look smart but it just allows guilty men to walk free and possibly do it again. *What about the man found not guilty? How did his life turn out after the accusations?*

      It does happen. Look up the murder of Lesley Molseed, an 11 yr old girl murdered in 1975 (I think), The Police questioned a local man with learning difficulties for hours without a solicitor until he confessed through fear. He was innocent, but he got convicted and served 16 years in prison before being released, there was zero evidence to link him to the crime.

She's at the top of some maisonettes and told to go home at the bottom, between the two homes she sees aan who later admits to seeing her on the night, then she's seen skipping in the street with a man she clearly knows. What level of incompetence needs to exist in a SINGLE person to not at least say it had to be someone at least visiting someone in those homes that night and get a list together of visitors and residents to begin the enquiry? Police work at its worst.*

      Maybe keep your judgement for the killer who practised luring a child to the building where he murdered Nikki a few days before the murder, hoisting a 12 year old up over a wall to get in. The grandparents whose flat she left lived in the same block of flats as the mum and Nikki, as did the killer. In blocks like these, kids are always running from flat to flat and running to play outside. The neighbors generally knew each other- the killer knew Nikki as he lived in the same block and was the partner of someone who occasionally minded her. The mum has been open about her problems, her mistake and her guilt. Consider how the killer's statement was overlooked by the police while they pressurised another man into a false comfession and how bad police computer systems can be for querying evidence. Maybe question why this case got a fraction of the media coverage of similar murdered child cases.

    No doubt about it, DH is a wrong un and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear he’s ended up in the clink for being a menace to women but it’s time to park it lad. It can’t be good for your mental health to be constantly chasing this guy and it’s sounding like you are way too obsessed. You’ve made your point and time will tell. You’ve got more important sh1t to be dealing with….

      I never understand Christians please answer for me.
      1. Why would the devil need help identifying this evil man? Surely the devil already knows him.
      Secondly by your logic, what is the devil going to do when he finds him? Give him a prize for doing evil?
