Thanks Phil, yes the newer paint brushes are pretty good, and inexpensive too, so it kind of takes the heart out of caring for them the same way. What I liked about taking care with brushes is that it added an element of quality to the finishing side of things ... or a least it seemed that way to me, but so many different options these days. Thanks for posting

That was really helpful and encouraging - the Paint Brush Aisle and Home Depot is no longer as intimidating. Thank you!

Great search result for my query. Any advice on brush stiffness? There seems to be a lot of choices

great video, and sorry it has taken so long to subscribe. A few tricks I have is to comb and trim my brushes and wrap them in butcher paper with masking tape or a rubber band over the metal collar, as most of my brushes are of the inexpensive type. Justin

Hi there, what type of brush would you recommend to apply a (triple thick Varathane) water base on a black walnut dining table to avoid brush stroke marks knowing that the triple thick Varathane is very thick.?

How many times could you use it for polyurethane before throwing it out !? 🤔 or do the good ones last forever

I think when you start feeling it stiff. Remember to always do a correct prep on your brush and at the end clean it really well with the same thinner you used to dissolve your finish

    The rule is:
Synthetic brushes are for water based paint products,
Natural brushers are for oil based paint products; period
