Bought my 16g when it came out 10 yrsago or longer difficult to use! Still in the box paid $1000 now you can get a used one for $100 you be great if you could figure it out
I have a few Q's. 1. could you use the MIDI IN port to trigger the samples with an external midi controller, instead of using the 4 on-board buttons? 2. Could you use the AW1600 as a Master MIDI device (does it send MIDI clock signal)? 3. Does it have a MIDI track that could record MIDI note/events from the MIDI IN port? Thanks for your help
I'm having problems accessing the global feature for the Effects 1 and 2. It used to work very simply by setting up the desired effect for each and then turning the Effects knobs up and down. Now, it doesn't seem to do anything until I press the View button, go to Channel View and jump through a bunch of hoops and it still works strangely. I know it must be my user errors, but I can't find how to set the Effects up for global use across all 16 tracks Any advice or tips?
what is the difference between the AW1600 and the AW16G? Is it 'only' the 8 XLR's inputs on the AW 1600 and the 2 XLR's input and the 6 jack inputs on the AW16G and the size of the HD that differnce these two?
Better late than never, I own both types and the main functional difference is the number of XLR inputs and a USB transfer functionality. It is difficult to get files from the 16G in digital quality, either two channels at a time over spdif or CD writer. The 1600 sort of solves that problem.
I have one of these great workstations. I find it quite easy to use. I actually like it better than my Tascam DP32SD.
I came for some much needed help to simplify the technical confusion in my head. I left with a burning desire to replace my head.
i just found this at my old jam space, it actually still works, what a machine!
I still have my AW1600 and I have a Roland VS2400CD. Love them both.
