It would be really cool if authors would collab with Apple and have scenes that you could put in the background to match what you're reading. Like lunatheon or valaris. Or even like Bryce's apartment or inside Rhys home
Exactly… people fail to understand that this is the first device of its kind that Apple has launched… that right now one needs to look at its potential. The hardware (weight) would catch up and so would the usecases of the device.

@@lilacfields i don't have an issue with book smells most of the time unless they're old or smell very printer-like but am still an ebook & audiobook lover. so much cheaper and easier and love having a huge digital library

i heard wearing the head strap that like goes over the top of your head too makes it way more comfortable to distribute the weight more evenly so that might help if you haven’t tried it!

You probably know this by now since I can tell Ryan is a tech nerd (like me), but try the other head strap (the one with the strap that also goes over your head, it would’ve come with the headset) and maybe try using a smaller light seal, this should help with keeping the device on your head without weighing down on your face! Besides that, this has been so fun and interesting to watch, I would love to see more videos like this 👏🏼

I have these ideas for VR for a while now of a VR library free to the public. And a VR app which i have coined Book Nook VR, a cozy customizable nook for reading with a window that's changable. Cool video! I would be curious to see this on other headsets like Meta Quest 3 and Big Screen Beyond. Also, there are some work arounds for the headset weight, like getting another strap and putting across the top of the head, the strap currently on the headset. Or the newer cheaper 3D printed hat clip that uses a baseball cap and a clip to lighten the loud.
I much prefer the physical books over anything else. Even with being able to dim brightness, my eyes just feel sore after staring at my computer or phone screen. Also, the smell of books is just...so good!
