I love that this whole album is essentially a love letter to Hybrid Theory. There’s a lot of parts that sound like the album and even one of the songs is named close to a song from Linkin Park
Bring Me are my favourite band because of their lyrics, period. I felt like I was vicariously living Oli’s pain because we shared the same anger and disappointment and fear. I always appreciated his brutal honesty and I do yours too. The way you speak about your experiences brings a rawness to your videos that is pretty rare in my opinion. Coupled with your vast musical knowledge, it always bettters my day when you upload a new video. Thank you Sir. Wishing you well.
You can play any two songs from BMTH post-Suicide Season and chances are that they’ll be pretty distinct, even with songs on the same album on the ones after TIAH
"They write very strong memories..." never better said, sir. Oli and Jordan really know how to hit home with their lyrics. ❤ Also, can't wait for the cover of 1x1, it really is a killer song! 💕
I really love your reactions to these songs. Compared to other reaction videos where they just play the song barely saying anything about it you actually analyze it and take it apart. Thanks for your effort.
David: "So I grew up in the 70's. The 1970's, not the 1870's." Don't try to fool us, David. Your followers know of your immortal existence 😉 After all, music is infinite. It is eternal!
For context, Amy and Georgia are black women who grew up in London, England. Being the children of musicians, they had to deal with racism and sexism growing up. They are not bitter about it. They accept everyone and will tell you they don't care what you look like and everyone is welcome at their shows. Oli and Jordan have followed the ladies for their whole careers and gave them a lot of support. Oli would officially ask them to come collab with them for this album. Then to Amy and Georgia surprise the band would invite them to come tour with them for this EP.
yes!! 1x1 is one of my favorite songs on the album, partly because of its energy/music style and partly because it's so relatable lyrically. you can literally feel the anxiety and the struggle to fight all those intrusive thoughts in your head, and it especially helps to know you're not alone in all this... thank you for all your reaction videos, they're amazing!! ❤
I appreciate your groundedness, David. You are able to quickly empathize and offer vulnerable experience that brings practical wisdom to handling emotions or life struggles - all through listening to music. Please continue what you do!
We love that you listen and take our true opinions and inspiration and ho you’re willing to listen. Our genre is so misunderstood as anger other then release of anger a tool for getting that stress out relating to the deep lyrics of pain and sorrow. It speaks honestly and that is the true comfort I feel is the honesty . I love your vids man keep it up! ❤️🙏
Cant believe I had never found this channel. Ive never seen such care and appreciation put into a reaction. Your insight and views of the song were also refreshing. You easily earned a sub exceptional work sir!
This is why I love this channel. It’s one thing to dissect the instrumentation-and it’s clear you’ve got your full attention on the music-but so few critics give equal weight to the lyrical content. Fantastic work. Also, if you want a suggestion for lyrics by someone who means what they say, consider checking out Japanese post-hardcore band Pay Money to My Pain-“Weight of my Pride” or “Out of My Hands”. Their lead singer, “K”, who wrote and sung almost every song in English, died very young from a heart condition-but that condition certainly didn’t relate to his capacity for feeling. You’ll hear it in the songs, he meant every word.
I love you so much. I started watching your videos because of your DGD reactions, but I now turn to you for the musical knowledge and your personality. I love your sense of humor and you have a very warm and comforting aura. You're a wonderful teacher and I learn something new everytime I watch
Your videos are really helping me keep my mind off things today. Glad i found you. Been super depressed and just thinking about the bad stuff. This is helping so much.
I love you, this is how you do reaction/commentaries. Adding meaningful thoughts and opinions, and breaking down the elements off the music that excites you. Awesome video!
I love the EP of Bring me the horizon. Some years ago, I have suffered from depressions and Twenty One Pilots has guided me through this time. Now I’m feeling the same way about BMTH. They are creating something my mind can hold on to. When interested in some kind music I like to hear thoughts of others. As you mention, we need someone, who we can talk to. In my case just get the opportunity to listen to your thoughts and reading some comments in this section, is very fulfilling. Normally I am not the type of a guy, who writes a comment. But I felt something needed to get out of me.
I actually would love to see bmth live soon. They're in the best place with the stuff they're putting out now than they have been for years. This is my favourite sound by them since suicide season. And so much variety too. Its great stuff.
Their ballad with Amy Lee and Ludens are 2 of my favorite from this ep. Would love to see reaction for either one preferably both lol. Love your reactions btw
You have a really endearing presence man. I’m glad you decided to share your passion with the world! Keep up the awesome work and keep enjoying yourself!
I totally agree with you. Writing about stuff you know about personally, makes the delivery of the message much smoother, and gives the song more emotion.
On the ADD note, The song Avalanche by BMTH is about Oli being diagnosed with ADHD. Might be an interesting one to listen to even if you don't do a full react video.
Just found your channel the other day, love the content. Really enjoy your appreciation for all the nuances musically that most reaction channels don’t. Awesome job!
Thank you for putting these videos! Really like the way you talk and explain some things in them. Suggest you to react on some new Asking Alexandria as they’ve gone from Metalcore to do their most recent 2 albums very unique. For example, their song “Into the fire” or “Take Some Time”
I would LOVE for you to react to more stuff from BMTH. Their sound is so versatile but at the same time very recognisable. "Deathbeds" is a song that's a lot calmer but I think you'd enjoy it.
BMTH did a sort of "behind the scenes" series about the making of this album. Each episode is for a different song. I'd be interested in seeing you react to some of those.
Hey, I just discovered your channel and I love it. You are so open, judgement-free, passionate, knowledgeable, talented and so much more, I really like you. Thanks for being here
Definitely should check out the live version of “Avalanche” from the same Royal Albert Hall show that they did “Doomed” at. So breathtaking not only the music, but the video itself.
For one that never had heard about BMTH back in time, you are already a huge fan of the band, just like me and the others on the comments. This is pretty awesome and I'm really happy to see that! Fun Fact: I really love when you try the music on the piano by yourself, it's the best part of the reaction, because we can know something deeper that some people maybe can't figure out or find on any other channel!
Man, live at Carnegie with this song would be amazing, with a crescendoing prelude like with doomed, starting of with a soft xylo or something, and slowly bring in strings to support the melody, with percussion coming in and speeding up the tempo with horns for flair, and then the band comes in with a big kick bass. And I'm not going to lie, I'd pay for a collection of all of these covers. Awesome video!
They produced a lyric video as making a full video during "Rona" isn't as easy, although Parasite Eve was a fantastic video, made during lockdown. Just touching on what you said later on, I connect with this song the most out of the whole EP. Oli deserves awards for his lyrics.
You should check out some Silversun Pickups. They are amazing musicians that are very underrated. I recommend Songbirds, Well Thought Out Twinkes, Future Foe Scenarios, Straw Man, Bag of Bones, Panic Switch, Catch & Release and Growing Old is Getting Old
In terms of technicality, you would love TesseracT, songs like Juno and King, especially live at bloodstock, they are just phenomenal musicians and so technically skilled
The different ways we deal with mental issues is interesting. I find that only I understand how I feel and work and thus only I know how to resolve my mental issues. It’s worked for me so far so I guess we just have different ways of dealing with things :) Amazing track
wish you would look at some of their early work - they are so different and well just would be interesting to hear your opinion on change in sound of the band over the years
I don’t know if anyone else knows about these guys they quit a couple years back now(been bingeing your channel) check out HIM,there’s too many good classics to name. .they have really good live stuff too I’d love to see a good breakdown on their stuff from you! really love the way you explain the structures of songs thank you for teaching me how to explain things to others!
That's my favorite one. Beautiful back and forth between Oli and Amy Lee. And beautiful meaning to the song as well. I've loved Amy for 20 years and she's been one of the biggest influences on me for multiple facets of my life. I only discovered BMTH this past year and they became my favorite band. And funny enough, from the first time I heard BMTH I immediately thought of a duet or feature including Amy. Hope it made you as happy as it made me!
Thank you for bringing something like this to TH-cam. I think many young'uns will benefit from this. I would LOVE if you reviewed an Enter Shikari track. Sorry You're Not a Winner is likely their most known song. But I would please ask you to check out their latest album and choose a song that you feel would feel best to approach. They are without a doubt in my mind the best live British band of a generation. If I had to pick, their song "satellites* *" from the latest album is something I feel many young musicians would benefit from. Again, thank you

you'd love Meteora and Hybrid Theory
or Minutes to Midnight
The editing on these videos is absolutely masterful
That’s Howie, all Howie
Thanks Howie
@@MusicShed howie who?
I think you will like "Follow You", a total different vibe of everything you've heard from them.
Oh no as well
I actually used to hate follow you and oh no but now i love them, it was just getting used to a not heavy sound from them
You can play any two songs from BMTH post-Suicide Season and chances are that they’ll be pretty distinct, even with songs on the same album on the ones after TIAH
Please do react to ballad song bmth ft amy lee One Day The Only Butterflies Left Will Be In Your Chest As You March Towards Your Death...
People are asking for weeks!
This
the lyric reaction to this song would be awesome
Please do it! She even wrote the hole name!!!
yes!!
"They write very strong memories..." never better said, sir. Oli and Jordan really know how to hit home with their lyrics. ❤
Also, can't wait for the cover of 1x1, it really is a killer song! 💕
Spiritbox just released another track called "Constance" which is completely opposite of "Holy Roller" and showcases Courtney's clean vocals.
He should react to it because its beautiful as hell
That's literally the greatest song that came out in 2020
Absolutely! Please react to this song, it is so beautiful
I really hope he sees this and reacts to it.
I would love to hear a full cover of this song by you
Me too
Yeah me as well
That quick piano thing you did. Please do it again to the full song🥺
I really love your reactions to these songs. Compared to other reaction videos where they just play the song barely saying anything about it you actually analyze it and take it apart.
Thanks for your effort.

So many bangers on this EP.
1x1
kingslayer
teardrops
ludens
obey
parasite eve
and butterflies is beautiful
Agreed I also liked dear diary
How do you not put dear diary on the bangers list.
There ain't a single song on there which isn't a banger
Dear Diary? and itch for the cure is great too
@@Humble197 Understandably it’s not for everyone
Just discovered you and love your channel! The raw emotion of these lyrics make this one my fav
This is probably my favourite song on their new album! Been checking out a few of your videos today, great content. Keep it up!
An older song by these guys that I really think you’d appreciate is Crucify Me. It’s from their There is a Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It album.
I love you so much. I started watching your videos because of your DGD reactions, but I now turn to you for the musical knowledge and your personality. I love your sense of humor and you have a very warm and comforting aura. You're a wonderful teacher and I learn something new everytime I watch

I actually would love to see bmth live soon. They're in the best place with the stuff they're putting out now than they have been for years. This is my favourite sound by them since suicide season. And so much variety too. Its great stuff.
My favourite part of all of your videos are when you have your break aways on the keyboard! So talented!
I've been watching your reactions for a little bit now particularly the BMTH ones, when it pops into my feed I hit watch! Keep it up!
I enjoy watching your videos bcos I always learn something new and different from your review or view. Thank you! And im a no.1 BMTH fan!
Love your reactions to BMTH..you add a different level to it and give great insight..keep up the great work man

As a long term BMTH fan you should react to Blessed with a Curse. It's an older one but it would speak to you, I can imagine
I love how these videos are like a cross between a reaction and Rick Beato's what makes this song great.
Thank you for putting these videos! Really like the way you talk and explain some things in them. Suggest you to react on some new Asking Alexandria as they’ve gone from Metalcore to do their most recent 2 albums very unique. For example, their song “Into the fire” or “Take Some Time”
Crucify me by BMTH one of their gratest song

If you like the lyrics of this, please give BMTH "It Never Ends" a go. It just... Resonates.
For a good live BMTH song, please look into "Drown" (Live from Maida Vale). It is beautifully cathartic.
