Hirokazu Fukushima (b.1971)
The Davidson College Symphony Orchestra is excited to present Teachi-tearu by Japanese composer Hirokazu Fukushima. This piece incorporates themes of two Okinawan folk songs, “Teachi-tearu” and “Tinsagunu Flower”, set within a swing feel.
