But God also forgives people and knows your heart. People struggle and try. If they are saved they will endure and God will use them. I've had to deal with this in my marriage, it was horrible!!
I did too, I cheated first then he found a girlfriend and kicked me and the 3 kids out. I faced 50yrs in prison for something I didn’t do, it’s because I broke my promise to God. I prayed for forgiveness of my adultery and promised not to act on it again, and I failed. It took me facing 50yrs in prison for something I didn’t do for me to fall to my knees and cry out to God what had I done to deserve that. He answered and thus my marriage of 16yrs ended. HE delivered me from my pain of the separation and of my childhood pain and I was REBORN IN CHRIST AT 34.
Being cheated on just tears your heart out, believe me I know. My ex left me for another man and not a day goes by that I don't deal with the pain

I just recently found out my 64 yr old father had an affair with my 28 yr old gf when we were together 5 yrs ago. He got her pregnant. And for the last 5 yrs they’ve been lying and pretending their daughter was mine. Now this poor little innocent girl thinks I’m her father, and I just found out that I’m not her father, and in fact she’s my half-sister.
I don’t know why God is putting me and this poor little girl through this real-life nightmare, this real-life hell. But, I do know one thing, my now 69 yr old father and my now 33 yr old ex gf are both going to burn in hell after this life, that much I’m pretty confident on. I guess vengeance and justice is God’s right? So, guess I’ll have to take comfort in knowing He will hand out His justice when He sees fit.
Oh btw speaking of sexual sin, my ex also slept with my little sister’s fiance and my 4 life-long best friends. Just as a nice kicker to the story to really drive the evil point home.
It was lust and sin that caused these sinful acts, not God's doing. God might have put you through this as a test to be closer to Him. Man I am so sorry to hear of what you’re experiencing, I can’t imagine the hurt, betrayal and confusion. This is a hard time in your life, but I pray God will give you the strength to be the bigger man and make it through this time.
The Bible indeed talks about how anyone who does evil (any sin big or small) is deserving of Hell. But at the same time, anyone who puts their trust in Jesus and turns from their sin can be forgiven. I say that to tell you that as hard as it may be to forgive what they’ve done, God commands us to forgive those who have done us wrong because he has forgiven us of our own sins. The Bible says that if we don’t forgive others their sins against us, God will not forgive our sins against him. So I encourage you to not let hatred build up in your heart against them. Allow God to deal with their hearts, but the only way he can do that is if you surrender them and this situation to God through forgiveness. I know from my own experiences that holding on to unforgiveness and bitterness will eat you alive. But if you ask God to help you forgive them, he will give you the strength (even if you have to do it with tears in your eyes). Healing takes time, but forgiveness is what starts the process in your own heart. ❤️🙏

Context is key in understanding this teaching. All sin is not the same in God's eyes when it comes to earthly consequences. HOWEVER, all sin is the same in context of salvation. Lying and murder is at the same level when it comes to salvation. Both are worthy of eternal separation from God without the atonement by the blood of Christ. With that said, while on earth the consequences for lying are not as severe as the consequences of murder. This is important to note or people get confused by this paradoxical statement.

2 . The Holy Spirit doesn't "cloth us" . . . He is "within us".

I agree with you about sexual sin. It's been a struggle for me off and on my whole 53 years of life! I've gotten my anger under control, God took away my addiction to drugs when i got saved.......lust is still a struggle, sometimes I can run or stop and other times not!
I try to renew my mind and pick up my cross daily ..... I'm hoping that one day I will be delivered from sexual sin.
Unless it's my thorn in the flesh to keep me humble.
The trouble with porn and sexual fantasy is once you absorb that kind of thing, it is embedded into your mind and thoughts for so many years and even when you are much older, you still find yourself fantasizing the same things you once did. Even after viewing the images of what you once did, you still see them in your mind as ages pass on. You have the ability to surpass that addiction with Bible reading and prayer. It’s essential, because it opens up your heart to Jesus Christ and staves off the enemy, the devil at any costs. Remember to let Holy scriptures into your heart and mind and the enemy’s plan will be foiled. Trust in God and lean not on your own understanding.
