Beautiful car ! I had a '68 AMX 390 auto with posi, best car ever for mountainous BC highways, passing slow trucks on steep grades, just point and squirt.. Bought used for $ 3500. drove it 5 years, sold for $ 4500, thought I made out well... STUPID ME !
@@46captain46 Mine originally had a Ford-style shifter as well. When I got it, it had a Hurst aftermarket shifter (not a Competition-Plus) that I replaced with a rebuilt factory Hurst Comp-Plus.
@@audieconrad8995 Was last painted in 1996 but never wet sanded or rubbed out. 👀 looked great but now looks amazing like it was painted yesterday. Wet sand paper light cut 2000 grit remove orange peel. Compounded with 3m compound, then polished with 3m and hand glazed. Better than new
