I love that this sounds like a metal men's choir. I love chorus music and metal. And this sounds like the lovechild of both styles of music. so in love.
This music is pure dwarfish might woven into words and burnt into the souls of those who listen it fills me with the glories of battle. Come brothers let us fight for the glory of our people!!
Thanks to the Facebook ad I've just discovered this amazing band. Being a die-hard fan of all-things-dwarven, I love them! May the blessing of the Ancestors never fade from your hammers (and instruments).
Abi siz niye bu kadar mükemmel şarkılar yapiyosunuz anlamadım cildirmami mi istiyosunuz ulan elime bi para geçse ilk isim konserinize gelmek olacak. Sizi cok seviyorum adamsınız lan adam
Really great song, the whole album is really good. I don't normally listen to power metal, although I do like Blind Guardian a lot, but this album definitely deserve to be on my list of favorites.
So viking metal really is a thing, I thought it was just a name I thought up to distinguish Manowar from genres like rock and death/scream metal, because many of Manowar's songs are about vikings, viking beliefs, and Odin or Thor. But as this is about dwarves, it should be called Dwarven Metal as it is labeled on a post going around facebook.
Mine the ore yourselves in the depths of the earth, smelt it with the heat of your rage, forge it in a fire of the bones of your foes, and quench its thirst with the blood of monsters.
@Tork Shit, no *WONDER* it's so hard to conquer the dwarves. They're all running around wearing a small CAR! Even when they're chilling out, playing guitar and harmony singing, they ain't takin' that armor off fer *NUTHIN!*
Just assisted to your concert in Lyon (France) this night, that was f*cking awesome !! So powerful !!!! Is there any live version album to buy somewhere ?
My god.... somebody fetch me a Tankard of Ale and my Axe - I'm ready to go. Just point me to some Orcs - I will litter the ground before I do down and do so with a smile on my face.
The song is, I'm afraid, pretty generic - but the line "raising my sword as if all is lost" is, on itself, enough to save the lyrics. Did the writter raise his pen as if all was lost when writting it? Perhaps!
Not bad at all, some good tracks - though I wasn't blown away.. so overall 3+/6 from me. That said, I do look forward to hear more from these guys, there are elements that I find exciting here..
Criticisms are always well accepted! But can you please explain "cheese"? I mean, I don't see any sword, power, glory, might, king in the lyrics :) Cheerz
Well, yeah, there's different influences and it's not fair to say you belong to just one genre or one style of music, but the lyrics are clearly reminiscent of power metal, or folk metal if you broaden your classification to "fantasy" in general. Honestly, if David wants to see proper CHEESE he should look up Powerwolf or Gloryhammer, as those bands are dedicated parody ensembles. To be frank, I don't see anything wrong with cheesiness, because power metal can simply make it appear so merely because it fits the theme. I've seen DivineFire manage to make the Holy Bible sound cheesy by referencing God as king, and seeing as kings and kingdoms are characteristic of power metal this isn't an issue at all. To summarise, yes there's power metal in your music, yes there are power metal lyrics. It's specific, it's characteristic and it's a lyrical topic you chose to cover. Does it tell a tale? Yes. Is it convoluted and shrouded in allegory? Probably not (only you can tell us that), but then that wouldn't be reminiscent of power metal, and to some that actually might be cheesy, so I don't see a real point in discussing the cheese factor.
I love that this sounds like a metal men's choir. I love chorus music and metal. And this sounds like the lovechild of both styles of music. so in love.
Yep, that's power metal. It usually has cleaner, less growly vocals in comparison to heavy metal. Sabaton is a pretty popular power metal band.
Oh hell yes! These guys are becoming one of my fave bands really fast!
same ^^
same here
Here too, the almost medieval atmosphere that makes out is incredible, I can not stop listening to them!
Hendrys Aerendir thats power metal at its finest
I saw them live with Ensiferum last week. Really great show!
Possibly the best song I have ever had the pleasure of listening to!
This music is pure dwarfish might woven into words and burnt into the souls of those who listen it fills me with the glories of battle. Come brothers let us fight for the glory of our people!!
I have no idea how I ended up here, but it's fucking amazing.
Since WInd Rose did a cover for Powerwolf, Powerwolf should cover this song.
Thanks to the Facebook ad I've just discovered this amazing band. Being a die-hard fan of all-things-dwarven, I love them! May the blessing of the Ancestors never fade from your hammers (and instruments).
The power of this song is epic
Great song and video! I can't wait to listen to the entire album...
Their songs aren't written. They are smithed against the anvil.
Faffy Waffle Ahahaha pure gold comment!
And a dwarf knows about gold ;)
Their guitar strings and cymbals are forged from mythril. I need to find that smith.
The Dwarf Lords saw fit to use my quote! Haha
Best quote ever, it will become our motto :D
You do me great honor, brothers! I pledge my axe to you, the Ironwrought!
I love your music. You band is absolutely amazing. Keep up the great work.

So viking metal really is a thing, I thought it was just a name I thought up to distinguish Manowar from genres like rock and death/scream metal, because many of Manowar's songs are about vikings, viking beliefs, and Odin or Thor. Wind Rose should do a song with Heilung it would be epic
" *MAKE SURE YOU HAVE HUMONGOUS SHOULDER GUARDS!!!* "
You could make a tiger tank if you melted those down.
@Tork Shit, no *WONDER* it's so hard to conquer the dwarves. They're all running around wearing a small CAR!
Even when they're chilling out, playing guitar and harmony singing, they ain't takin' that armor off fer *NUTHIN!*
Now this remind me of my infancy playing warcraft 3 for some strange reason...
Epic pagan powermetal... \m/

My beard just grew a beard!!!
:starts looking for my battleaxe:
Let me guess: A BEARDED AXE! Am I right?
I work as an excavator Operator..... its the perfect music😂😂
The mix is a bit, hm... surprising. But the track is catchy and has good elements. I'll give the album a listen, for sure.
Lyheysti ja ytimekkäästi. "AIVAN LOISTAVA!!!!"

Oaken
The song is, I'm afraid, pretty generic - but the line "raising my sword as if all is lost" is, on itself, enough to save the lyrics. Did the writter raise his pen as if all was lost when writting it? Perhaps!
GOSTEI ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
the debut was ok, this sounds also ok but it obviously needs time..
soundwise: rhapsody and fairyland getting attacked by turisas
What did you think of Wardens?
Not bad at all, some good tracks - though I wasn't blown away.. so overall 3+/6 from me.
That said, I do look forward to hear more from these guys, there are elements that I find exciting here..
This reminds me of Wintersun, only better :)
I came here because Inner Wound is my favorite Label. Not really convinced by this though. Sounds like a 5 min Chorus.
new genre wolf metal
no no sir...DWARVEN METAL
Yeah, wolf metal belongs to Powerwolf.
Powerwolf is mostly about Christian Mythology.
Wolf metal is for sonata arctica.
I just shaved 10 mins ago and I have beard again 🙄
The music is amazing but damn this is poor After Effects editing...
They're trying way, way too hard.
Also, as a rule, you shouldn't have lyric videos when your lyrics are this loaded with cheese.
Criticisms are always well accepted! But can you please explain "cheese"? I mean, I don't see any sword, power, glory, might, king in the lyrics :)
Cheerz
It's not really generic, it's just specific to this genre.

Someone's never listened to Gloryhammer or watched one of their music videos lmao
David Davidson It is cheesy. But it's awesome and badass.
