I think I like every aspect of this except for the edges! which is unusual for fairyloot. they just don’t look up to their usual standard?! I also wish the reverse was the main cover, as monolimeart is one of my absolute favorites 😍 the synopsis sounds fantastic!
Hmm not sure about this one - something about the sprayed edges not really matching the darker colours of the dust jacket maybe? Questions for your Q&A - if you could meet any author who would it be? Would you ever consider writing your own book? If you could only keep one book, other than your fourth wing, what would you choose?
Would love to see a few of your special editions. So what are your? - favourite endpapers - favourite sprayed edges Bookish questions : What would be your go to book for a reread? Which book on your self makes you feel happy every time you see it? What book has been on your tbr the longest and why? What is your most anticipated read on your tbr? Channelish questions: Has your opinion changed on bookboxes? What type of video would you love to make but have you not done yet? What is the thing you have learned from your channel this past year? Hope you don't mind so many questions😅 just pick the ones you like!
I agree 100% about having been happier with the standard edition. I think I would have liked it better had the reverse dust jacket actually been the main cover, instead of just having a color change on the main cover.
I despised the purple foiling, so I am soooo happy it’s red 🫶 overall I think it’s a very adult looking fantasy book, but a little bit on the eh side (super excited to read it though 🥰) love your videos!
Wonderful video…I always appreciate your thoughts on the books and value of the subscriptions. My questions for your anniversary are: Do you annotate your books? Do you have a recommendation for a book journal or tracker?
@MichelleReadsandVlogs I already "fixed" it, so now it's got a fully custom edge 😃. I think I have only once contacted them for something (the adult book was in my YA box one time), and they made it right, so this I won't fuss over.
@MichelleReadsandVlogs I have noticed that special orders, like the soon to arrive When The Moon Hatched, don't have a bag. Those always come in bubble wrap and lots of those biodegradable peanuts, but the sub boxes have always had the bags. I hope they don't discontinue the bags because they are one of the things that make this sub feel special. I like to leave them on their books and add "Blind Choose" to my TBR wheel. Then, if I get one, I choose from the shelf of black bagged books to read.
I agree the story sounds incredible on this one, but the design itself is a little bit underwhelming! Even the sprayed edges look like they’ve been taken straight from Illumicrate’s version of Swordcatcher! My questions would be… Top 5 books of all time (for the story!) Top 5 books of all time (for the design!) What is your favourite genre? What is your favourite trope? What is your favourite time of day to read/ reading routine? What is your favourite snacks and drinks when reading, if any!? Hope you’re well!
Great vid Michelle! I love how fairyloot are now doing bound-in author letters. Do you know if this just for the side subscriptions or also for their YA?
Questions for q&a: what’s your day job? What are your reading habits (do you have a goal of X number of pages per day, or a certain amount of time reading per day)?
I thought it was a bit odd to effectively have two different character art designs for the covers. Recolouring the foil was lazy in my opinion. I ended up flipping the jacket on this one as the inside was a bit more to my taste.
I am not a fan of the edges. I like the reverse DJ but the edges are way too bright with the yellow. I think more tamed and darker ones would suit the book better.
Questions: How many siblings do you have....and are the oldest, middle, youngest? Do you have other hobbies? Do you journal? What do you like best about being a BookTuber?🩷
I know 😢 They have done so many stunning editions recently; and this one just isn't it 😭 I am contemplating dropping the YA... I'm going to think on it over the next couple of months. Make whatever decision feels right to you x
Let me know if you’ve got any questions for my TH-cam anniversary Q&A 😊
I think I like every aspect of this except for the edges! which is unusual for fairyloot. they just don’t look up to their usual standard?! I also wish the reverse was the main cover, as monolimeart is one of my absolute favorites 😍 the synopsis sounds fantastic!
I prefer the artwork on the reverse, but the title design of the original cover. The edges seem very different to fairyloots usual style x

I think this edition is very much going to divide us all!
Thank you so much for the questions 🙏🏻☺️

Soooo many good questions! Thank you so much Jo 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Sounds like an amazing story! Can't wait to see what your thoughts are!
Will let you know! ☺️ x
i'm not taken at all by this edition either, a part from the spread edges which are very pretty
Yep, it was a little underwhelming 😬
I agree 100% about having been happier with the standard edition. I think I would have liked it better had the reverse dust jacket actually been the main cover, instead of just having a color change on the main cover.
It’s what they normally do; so no idea why it was different this time 🤷🏻♀️ let’s hope that the book is a good one 🥰❤️
Question: would you consider doing a live reading sprint sometime?
Thanks for the question Natalie ☺️❤️
Happy anniversary xx
Thank you 🙏🏻 ☺️
I despised the purple foiling, so I am soooo happy it’s red 🫶 overall I think it’s a very adult looking fantasy book, but a little bit on the eh side (super excited to read it though 🥰) love your videos!
As much as we love the pretty books the reading is definitely the most important aspect ☺️ I hope that you enjoy it! X

My questions for your anniversary are: Do you annotate your books? Do you have a recommendation for a book journal or tracker?
Thanks Molly ❤️
and thank you for the questions! ☺️ x
My romantasy box was totally beat up and unfortunately the edges had damage… there was also no black bag, which struck me as strange…
My box came the same way. The box was fine but the book cover was bent and it came wrapped in bubble wrap.
It's strange that some of them come like this; I hope that they will replace the damaged copy for you ❤️🤞🏻
Why do some arrive in bubble wrap? I wonder if it has something to do with their distribution centre 🤷🏻♀️ Glad that the book arrived ok though ❤️

love your tshirt!
- if you could write a book, what genre would it be?

🎉😊
Thank you (it's from CarmenDMdesigns).
Thank you also for the questions 🙏🏻🥰

What is your favourite genre?
What is your favourite trope?
What is your favourite time of day to read/ reading routine?
What is your favourite snacks and drinks when reading, if any!?
Hope you’re well!
Glad it’s not just me who was underwhelmed by this one!
Ooooh some great questions; thanks Linz 🙏🏻☺️
0:44 when I first saw the sprayed edge as you were first opening the bag...I thought it was a fried egg🤭
🫣😂🤣
Question: Do you want to do read alongs to get through your physical library?
Thanks for the question 🙏🏻☺️
Great vid Michelle! I love how fairyloot are now doing bound-in author letters. Do you know if this just for the side subscriptions or also for their YA?
I've just checked and the last few YA all have bound in author letters; so I guess they changed it from the art card (and I didn't notice 😂). x
Questions for q&a: what’s your day job? What are your reading habits (do you have a goal of X number of pages per day, or a certain amount of time reading per day)?
Thanks for the questions 🥰
How many books do you usually read in a year? Do you read many of your subscription books?
Thanks for the questions 🙏🏻☺️
I thought it was a bit odd to effectively have two different character art designs for the covers. Recolouring the foil was lazy in my opinion. I ended up flipping the jacket on this one as the inside was a bit more to my taste.
Don’t blame you at all! Hope you enjoy the book ☺️
Book title: Is It "Long Live Evil" or "Time of Iron"? I do like the purple lettering for the original cover.
The title is Long Live Evil. If they do a different name on the hardcover it is usually a the name of a book that's within the story 📖❤️
I am not a fan of the edges. I like the reverse DJ but the edges are way too bright with the yellow. I think more tamed and darker ones would suit the book better.
The yellow was definitely a choice 😬

Some great questions! Thanks Natalie 🙏🏻☺️
Oh I’m so sad about this book. I had high hopes for these customizations. This might be what makes me cancel my Fairyloot adult and YA sub. 😭
I know 😢 They have done so many stunning editions recently; and this one just isn't it 😭 I am contemplating dropping the YA... I'm going to think on it over the next couple of months. Make whatever decision feels right to you x
i can't say im a fan of the character art featured here. something about their faces and anatomy feels wonky to me 😥
Glad it’s not just me 😬
The book sounds good, not my cup of tea though
I think this one will be like marmite! Hope you're okay x
I’m so glad I skipped this one, I dislike that cover so much.
That’s fair. Gotta get the books we will enjoy x
