The fee is a disappointment, and I believe that Sony should instead fund some of the additional fees that it takes to produce their 1st party games from their subscription services rather than forcing consumers to pay an additional $10 per release. If I were head of Sony Interactive Entertainment, I would split back the assets of the studio back to Japan, where the PlayStation brand has fallen off in recent years. Moving half of the headquarters to Japan would help Sony not only maintain its Japanese identity in the video game world, but open up a door to a vast amount of new Japanese developers beyond their standard Westernised fare. I think the production increases of these new exclusives can be attributed to hiking development costs and programming wages, but I think that these higher costs can be offset if Sony takes more risks into expanding their footprint in the subscription service world and improving their presence in the Japanese market moving forward.
One mistake everyone is saying about this "remasters". Uncharted 4 was the first game to receive 3D Audio on PS4 for those with Sony's Official Headsets. It's just that this time around the PS5 itself process the "plugin", and every headphone can be used. NaughtyDogs did no improvements, 3D audio was already there.

30 FPS ruined this game's greatness when it first released on PS4. I am STUNNED that ANY mode on this "remastered" PS5 version runs at a locked 30 FPS. Why would ANYONE want to play like that in the year 2022?! And I thought that the PS5 was some sort of "gaming PC killer", yet it can only muster 30 FPS at 4K in a game that was released SEVEN YEARS AGO?! It's ridiculous that Sony is releasing this PS5 version before the PC version. The PC version is going to be the big seller and yet its release date is nowhere to be seen.
Biggest con is that they converted the trophy lists tho its 1 platnium and the game even loads up separate but the game has no load screens and looks insane and has the easiest save transfer since ghosts of tsushima I blame devs now for that they got it to load directly off the ps5 from your ps4 save game both games and new controller is awesome with the game I bought a physical and over new pokémon and I'm not mad
I already own and have played A Thief's End on my PS5 but I'm unable to upgrade to Legacy of Thieves Collection by paying just ₹500 (~$10) from what it shows in the description. @@yoshatabi they improved view distance, lod and texture rendering too, so it's not the exact same game
@@danielmattar2518 I know they improved those things. But in my opinion the PS5 more than capable of running this game in 4k 60FPS. Even with the improved graphical enhancements
@@yoshatabi yeah considering it runs flawless, there's definitely missed opportunities
Did this really need a review? It's just the same games but better looking
It's a remaster. A review is jusified as we should know what is different/new and if it truly improves upon the game or if it's a cashgrab.
@@Peer165 it obviously was a cash grab from the beginning
Runs better as well. That 120fps is about to be saweet
@@TheFennerPSVR2But that is not always the case with remasters as something like Mass Effect Legendary Edition was very good.
yes because there have been "remasters" like the silent hill HD collection, which actually was worse than the original ps2 games.
@5:25 someone fire the editor. forgot to add the sound
Ive played the PS4 version for so many times, it did not have this problem, I just upgraded to the legacy of thieves edition, why sometimes the subtitle doesnt match? It is just me?
The gentle silence of his grappling hook 😂
Ok so i bought the lost legacy a while back. With my own money but i have uncharted 4 on psplus when they released it on psplus can i still have the upgrade path for 10 dollars or do i have to buy the full 50 dollars
I did the same as you. Like he said, you only need to have bought one of the two to get both now for £10.
I have pay the ren euro for both ( i have both games from the PS4 ) and am now enjoy it now again.... these games are a joy too play and now with 4k is a beauty.
What are the load times like? Hoping almost instantaneous
About 10 min per loading screen for me
@@legendarybreton460 10 min ??
What
2.1 seconds to load
From digital foundary and my own experience
I bought this on steam but are they separate or whole download?
as someone that just finished TLOU 1 and 2... this looks like a great next game to play.
Same here! So did you enjoy Uncharted?
I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure this game is 50 not 70
Lost legacy is definitely not 10 hours long. I beat the game on normal and got all collectibles in that playthrough in under 7 hours.
There’s no moral base in capitalism though so none of this surprises me.
Can't believe the multiplayer doesn't come with the game!?
One mistake everyone is saying about this "remasters". Uncharted 4 was the first game to receive 3D Audio on PS4 for those with Sony's Official Headsets. It's just that this time around the PS5 itself process the "plugin", and every headphone can be used. NaughtyDogs did no improvements, 3D audio was already there.
30 fps should be against the law in any game res mode.
Games are not meant to be played in 30fps.
Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection is stunning on PS5 👏👏👏👏
Still waiting for the PC version
Great review, thanks for making everything very clear
Im new to PS And im about to buy the latest Uncharted game i hope its good .i am a 240hz gamer on PC but honestly solid 60 FPS feels really good on PS5
On sale on epic games store 34.99 tell jan 5th 2023 at 11:am
Honestly I was really hoping that it was going to be just like the Uncharted Nathan collection where you get to play as every NPC character after Finding the Treasure as you go cuz I was hoping that they would have it on here that would be pretty awesome to play as a villain fighting a villain
I would say if you already own this game from the PS4 and have the disc there is really no need to rebuy it again The graphics are good but it's not that big a jump that it makes that much of a difference it's going to feel like you are still playing the PS4 game
love the great uncharted collection on PS4 can’t wait to upgrade soon this year to ps5
I have a ps5 with uncharted 4 but i dont have lost legacy, if i buy the 10 dollar upgrade will i get lost legacy?
I cannot wait for these mods for Chloe.😤
Just Bought The 10$ upgrade even after playin Uncharted 4 On launch a while back on base ps4 and I will Tell ya what ! ITS SO FRESH FEELS LIKE A WHOLE NEW EXPERIENCE! . 10$ is a really great deal I never played The DLC so thats a plus that it comes with it as well !
60 fps in performance mode on ps5
Your using the wrong mode buddy
Played them all three times each and now I will play them again.
It's a good collection but why not add the multiplayer????
Is this a New one? Or is it just better in graphics etc?
So if you own LL and pay the upgrade fee you get both Uncharted 4 and LL PS5 version?
Have the same question
Luckily my PS5 came with Legacy of Thieves collection, and sadly enough it's my first Uncharted game.
Same
Sameeee
Same
Biggest con is that they converted the trophy lists tho its 1 platnium and the game even loads up separate but the game has no load screens and looks insane and has the easiest save transfer since ghosts of tsushima I blame devs now for that they got it to load directly off the ps5 from your ps4 save game both games and new controller is awesome with the game I bought a physical and over new pokémon and I'm not mad
I always wanted to try this game and i'm thinking on buying it on steam. I have a question. does the Legacy of Thieves Collection include 2 games?
Yep, late reply but it includes Uncharted 4 and it also includes The Lost Legacy
It's not fullprice on disc. It's only €45/$50
This guy needs to follow digital foundry because it is more, then just a frame rate update.
A little rumble added and multiplayer removed? Nah it's an fps upgrade game is identical besides that.
3:35 lol now sony is charging 10$ for the last of us part 2 "remaster". Full circle moment
If you own neither of these games, then buy a used copy of either for $10-$15 and pay the $10 upgrade.
it's nice but why they dont released other 3 games ? Playing that games with PC will be amazing.
I already own and have played A Thief's End on my PS5 but I'm unable to upgrade to Legacy of Thieves Collection by paying just ₹500 (~$10) from what it shows in the description. Instead, it's asking me to pay ~$35 which just seems overkill for this upgrade. I wonder if Sony hasn't added the $10 upgrade to India yet. Hmm.
Feel like this should be included in the new ps plus considering both games are on it just the PS4 version. Hopefully they do add it in the future
Hi guys! Thanks for the review. I am new to the Uncharted series and just bought this game for the PS5. I haven’t opened it because I’m a bit hesitant to start this without starting from Uncharted 1? Need to pick the brains of Uncharted fans before starting up the game. Should I wait and play from Uncharted 1 or would it be ok to just start from this game?
You're fine to start it before playing the others 😊 that's what I did & just caught up afterwards, nothing spoilery.
Only if it had multiplayer mode included.
Played both on ps5 as the ps4 version on ps5. And on my ps4 pro . The 10 euro upgrade is debatable. Also even after down load you need the original disk in the ps5 at all times
If only it still had mulitiplayer/survival mode. Me paying the $10 upgrade was the main reason.
i just got ps5 and never played any uncharted games. Is it worth it to get the uncharted legacy of thieves collection my friends?
Yeah they're great games. Don't directly buy the collection though, just buy the ps4 version of one of them and then buy the upgrade to save money
All of this time, I thought this was the entire series of Uncharted games all in one. And I came close to buying it. But when I found out it was only the final two, I knew I'd NEVER buy it. Especially since one of those two (Lost Legacy) is my least favorite of all. I hated Lost Legacy.
I only own uncharted 4 on ps4 but do want lost legacy so should I just spend the £40 on a disk version
Performance Plus just isn't an option for me. Straight up isn't there.
because your tv doesnt support 120fps
Would you say it’s worth $30
I dunno everyone who likes Uncharted probably has it by now. I'll stick to my Nathan Drake Collection not to mention I got the 4th one at digital discount price anyway. Plus I can still play it on my PS 5.
So is this and uncharted 4 the same game ?
Playing for the 1st time today.. loving it.
Next gen console and we get last gen games. Game industry is a joke these days.
Dude this is just a remastered for people who didn’t get to play the game last Gen where getting horzion and GT 7 so I don’t think where getting last Gen games
Your not forced to buy it...
Then don't buy it...
@@Slim-Boss we don’t need u to tel us that 🤡😅😂😂

Performance mode is great. Fidelity mode though I noticed no difference with the PS4 version. Guess my TV isn't good enough
