Well not everyone is big on RPGs but might enjoy the music. Plenty of films I have no interest in seeing but enjoy the music. Having said that if you ever decide to play it. The original is where it's at. The remake has great music but that's about it. The story is all the original all the way
This song always makes me think of losing someone you love, and how hard that is. And how your love for them fades, and how your bond with them dies, little by little. You think of something you used to love sharing together, and you realize you'll never share it with them again. You remember the last time you spoke, and are saddened when it sinks in just how long it's been since then. You feel a profound sense of loss and sadness when you realize that you're becoming okay with it. You're beginning to accept it. It doesn't hurt as much as it used to. And that, of everything, feels like the hardest and saddest part of all. When your mind, heart and soul take this person you loved more than you even loved yourself, and say, "Okay. I'm ready to say goodbye. I'm ready to move on." You can get through a day without breaking down, then you can get through a day where you feel the pain as only a dull ache, and finally you have days where you don't think about them at all. This was beautiful, the music was making me sad but this comment is what brought me to tears. I realise how much I've glossed of the years, mainly the people. And I miss them...i miss the love I had for them, the love they had for me, I miss the heart ache... I miss them... But life goes on. And I've moved on. But for now, I'll miss them...
Am I the only one this music provokes a profound sense of sadness? I don't know if it's nostalgia, the sadness of in the game, or just the music itself, but it really makes my heart ache.
About 6 hours into rebirth and all I have done so far is just travel around the grasslands man, shit is so beautiful. The music for the grasslands is so soothing and just overall the entire game is absolutely beautiful. Rebirth is going to be one of if not the most important and memorable games of the decade.
I’m 70 hours in, and I can say with absolutely no shame, that several of those have been spent just walking around and taking it all in. The game is MASSIVE, and it only gets better the farther in you get.
A lil update i'm currently about 19 hours in an i'm still at the beginning section of Junon. I plan on platnuming the game so I am just trying to do as much as I possibly can while enjoying the game.@@dmccarroll22
I like it but I think it’s a bit bloated and I would have preferred a shorter more focused experience. I dread doing the Moogle side quests in every region and doing fetch quests

No it didn't have to end that way, Kitase was seriously using Remake to prep-up a change of outcomes, but Nomura and the other dev heads made him compromise.
It was an emotional roller coaster from every character zack biggs wedge dyne everyone of them were brought to life and made it so much harder and then to top it all of aerith as well 😢

It’s just crazy how far we’ve come. For years and years we’ve been listening to music that has been readapted with modern sounds for this game and it’s insane how we actually have the ability to experience the journey of cloud and his friends with detailed graphics visuals, gameplay, and of course voice acting! Hope this trilogy becomes and stays the most cherished remakes of all time for generations.
My father returned to the Lifestream many years ago. But I remember feeling safe at his house and was at my halpiest exploring this game in his living room. This game has meant so much to me over the years. Playing the remake makes me feel closer to that time. I miss you, Dad.

Retired from the military today. Played this while driving through the gate, rewinding 20 years of adventure in my head to the point of leaving the MEPS for Basic Training. I would have liked to leave at a good note, but I won't let the judgement of garbage commander ruin my entire experience. All that matters is that its finally over and I can close the book.
This is beautiful I just finished Rebirth and I am left feeling melancholy that the game is over. It breaks my heart how these fictional characters and their stories can worm their way into our hearts and minds, as if they themselves were real. We will never get to see them beyond the story they are in and that makes me sad, I want to see where these characters go, I want to meet them, I want to travel to these worlds. I am excited and nervous for the 3rd game, a lot of weight to carry for a final act, I hope Square Enix delivers. I am so grateful to be alive in an age where we have such incredible stories told to us that can touch us so deeply, open our minds, inspire us and make us feel all sorts of emotions. These characters be it final fantasy to kingdom hearts have shown that no matter what life still goes on. But we will always have those who love us by our side even when they are gone. I wasn’t much of a gamer, but I found this game 25 years ago. The music has a profound effect on me, it reminds me of playing this game without a care in the world and it always bring me a bit of peace and calmness that I only had in childhood.

I clicked on this because I scoffed at the idea that there's Final Fantasy 7 music I haven't heard. Here I am 17 minutes later with it still playing in the background while I work. Thank you for this. Very well done.
The main theme really touched my heart. I had a emotional travel back in time when I was 12 years old and first started to play FF7. At that time I had no idea the impact this game would have in my life. This isn't "just a game", the depth, the characters, the atmosphere and what you can learn is beyond comprehension. I love reading Dostovjevsky and it is very often I am thinking of the messages in his books and how it can be applied to my life. I have similar experiences with parts in this game. Cloud like Raskolnikov are two such fascinated characters in a psychological perspective.
This takes me back to a place where no matter how hard I try I can never return, the experience it was to play this game for the first time, the stories, the music, the sound fx, it has stuck with me over the years, almost two decades. Somewhere in another timeline, I am still that young kid, sitting in his room, embarking on an amazing adventure and never knowing that one day I would never be in this place ever again. One day I would play this game for the very last time, not knowing it, how such a trivial thing would remain lingering in my mind for so long. They don't make games like they used to thats for sure.
This version is so beautiful I used to play the original FF7 between the ages of 9 - 12. But I’m in tears this reminds me of all the beautiful experiences I have had with God throughout my life. Thank you
I can't help but cry inside, in fact I am trying not to. I dunno why, hearing the sound of children playing and this beatiful piece of music. Reminds me so much of my childhood, except people stole it away from me. I was supposed to be dreaming of pirates, endless journeys, frienship and just spending all the energy until I want to sleep myself at night. Children should be allowed to play and be themselves who they want to be. So for those who played this game as a child, may you all find peace and serenity from deep within.
literally don't know anything about Final Fantasy, but a childhood youtuber I used to watch always used their music in their videos, and it was the most beautiful music I've ever heard.. Knowing that it's from a game, I can 100% say that this is the most beautiful music I've ever heard in a video game. I thank her til this day because I probably would have never found out about this game and its touching music. It's just so nice to listen to..
It does has some of the best video game music of all time in it. There are other close runner ups too like legend of Zelda, or chrono trigger, or other final fantasy songs like eyes on me from 8, melodies of life from 9, or zanakand from X or hikari from kingdom hearts. But 7’s music is truly a masterpiece from beginning to end. From the beginning of the game, to the reactor missions, to the themes for tifa, aeris, jenova and even sephiroth. It was a giant masterpiece.
I am bawling my eyes out. I came here after just encountering the interstellar piece (masterful) and have been sitting in deep, bittersweet beauty of life. The richness of life. What I have and haven’t yet experienced. And then.. I’m led to my favorite music, story and first deeply moving experience of my life as a teen. This is too much and so precious. What is the most precious thing is the community that has endured and then re-emerged with the gift of remake. I don’t have any more words, just gratitude. this came on after another video while I was 3d animating, zoned out for what felt like ages and it was four minutes in. What an amazing track already.
Can imagine this music playing in the background at the end of part 3 whatever the last title will be after rebirth, the final curtain call so while this is playing have various flashbacks and scenes of all 3 games of the remake playing silently while this music plays away and even scenes from the original ff7. I wasn’t much of a gamer, but I found this game 25 years ago. The music has a profound effect on me, it reminds me of playing this game without a care in the world and it always bring me a bit of peace and calmness that I only had in childhood.

The main theme really touched my heart. I had a emotional travel back in time when I was 12 years old and first started to play FF7. At that time I had no idea the impact this game would have in my life. This isn't "just a game", the depth, the characters, the atmosphere and what you can learn is beyond comprehension. I love reading Dostovjevsky and it is very often I am thinking of the messages in his books and how it can be applied to my life. I have similar experiences with parts in this game. Cloud like Raskolnikov are two such fascinated characters in a psychological perspective.
This takes me back to a place where no matter how hard I try I can never return, the experience it was to play this game for the first time, the stories, the music, the sound fx, it has stuck with me over the years, almost two decades. Somewhere in another timeline, I am still that young kid, sitting in his room, embarking on an amazing adventure and never knowing that one day I would never be in this place ever again. One day I would play this game for the very last time, not knowing it, how such a trivial thing would remain lingering in my mind for so long. They don't make games like they used to thats for sure.

I can't help but cry inside, in fact I am trying not to. I dunno why, hearing the sound of children playing and this beatiful piece of music. Reminds me so much of my childhood, except people stole it away from me. I was supposed to be dreaming of pirates, endless journeys, frienship and just spending all the energy until I want to sleep myself at night. Children should be allowed to play and be themselves who they want to be. So for those who played this game as a child, may you all find peace and serenity from deep within.
literally don't know anything about Final Fantasy, but a childhood youtuber I used to watch always used their music in their videos, and it was the most beautiful music I've ever heard.. Knowing that it's from a game, I can 100% say that this is the most beautiful music I've ever heard in a video game. I thank her til this day because I probably would have never found out about this game and its touching music. It's just so nice to listen to..
It does has some of the best video game music of all time in it. There are other close runner ups too like legend of Zelda, or chrono trigger, or other final fantasy songs like eyes on me from 8, melodies of life from 9, or zanakand from X or hikari from kingdom hearts. But 7’s music is truly a masterpiece from beginning to end. From the beginning of the game, to the reactor missions, to the themes for tifa, aeris, jenova and even sephiroth. It was a giant masterpiece.
