I even didn't notice that I probably unlocked the true ending. Nobody posted the scene after "The End" at 4:00. So I guess that is the secret endng?

@@glendarjj3991 , the game doesn't deepens all that it could in the story but the game has a deep and extensive story, you have to look only at the legend and many more things that we really don't know, I mean there's a lot at hand to work with in general to make a very great story and lore in Tears of the Kingdom, and people also like Zelda in general for both things, I'm not talking about this game in particular but in general, The legend of Zelda has a very deep story and lore in general, and that's also something that people like a lot and it's my case too since I like games with a very deep story, I hope to see that in Tearsbof the Kingdom, I would want it to make me feel, but not to crush my heart of course, I really don't want that

KING BUGOY that was the first one I went to get cause I knew exactly where it was
I got all of them. The one in Hyrule Castle is the hardest to get too. It's easier to just climb to the tower where Zelda's room is as it's literally right there. You just have to make sure you have enough stamina to climb that high or have Revali's Gale to help you go higher without using any....and it get's you half way up like I did. There's too many Guardians you have to avoid just trying to get to it. I died several times....
Love the symbolism that the Silent Princess, like Zelda herself, struggled to survive before, but now, like Zelda, they’re thriving. Awesome ending

I just noticed... The flowers that are blooming at the end are called "Silent Princess." If you read the item description of the Silent Princess, it says, "This lovely flower was said to have been a favorite of the princess of Hyrule. Once feared to have gone extinct, it's recently been spotted growing in the wild." And now there's a whole field of them, surrounding Link and Zelda.

Divine Beast Vah Ruta stops working, which means the others will stop working soon after.
The voice within the Master Sword can no longer be heard, which means that either Zelda has lost her power to seal away evil, or the Master Sword itself is losing power to seal away darkness. Because of either reasons, Link still has the Master Sword, and there's nothing him to put it back.
With Ganondorf's return, there will be nothing stopping him... the BotW sequel is going to be dark as hell...

Like what's the point of beating the game if all you get is a couple minutes of cutscenes. don't even get walk around/ travel with the bitch you spent the entire game trying to save
Because that comes so suprising for a Zelda Game. But seriously, it would really screw a lot of things over. All Guardians would be back to normal, which means no more Guardian parts, which means if you didn't get the Guardian Stuff at this point you're screwed out of them for good. No more Hyrule Castle monsters so if you didn't get the Hylian Shield yet you're screwed. Heck first thing i'd do as Princess Zelda was make a new Hylian Army and conquer my freakin country back from all these monsters, especially with the Guardians back under my control. So those would be gone too.
Long story short: Hyrule would become a super boring place after Ganon is gone.
No it's not. There's no postgame, meaning we wont know what happens after this. you can't play in a post final boss world.
It had been announced the game will get DLC with extra challenges and an Original Story both this summer and Holidays. I think they will put something for the post final boss scenario
I think the DLC can work as a postgame if they make it a menu option, due to the fact that you can't continue in your main file. Hopefully they do something crazy like make Zelda playable or have some more Sheikah lore. Maybe the villains are more Yiga (who I swear were not given proper closure to me what with the personal harm it did to the Sheikah) In fact Zelda being playable actually fixes three problems:
1. Not having to transfer Link's stats over
2. Not having to beat the game for new buyers
3. Not needing Anouma''s "What would Link do?" as an excuse seeing as he's already done enough after this ending.
The most innovative, different, creative Zelda game in history, and it ends with an epic fanfare rendition of the classic Zelda theme. Chills every time, this game is just perfection.
Definitely innovative, different and creative, but arguably not the most.
Game is also far from perfect but you're allowed to have your opinion so.
i would argue that Zelda OOT contributes more innovation to the gaming industry as a whole, the game is the pioneer of 3D gaming and it introduces some new and versatile mechanics as well

I don't think OOT is a bad game albeit it's not even in my Top 3 Zelda games, but jesus it is not the holy lord of the series nor is it THE defining game of that generation.
@@aegisofficial3819 The PS1 is twice less powerfull than the N64, it only runs in 32 bits, the so called 3D games on PS1 were nothing more than a 2D sprites that was structured to look 3D, so let’s take that out of the equation
The true era of 3D gaming only really starts in the N64, with Mario 64 implementing 3d polygon on video games and introducing what’s possible with the new environment, prior to this, “3D games” were only built in first person (Wolfenstein, Doom, etc), but Mario 64 opens up a whole new possibility
As for Ocarina of Time, i don’t even know where to began. The game introduces the targetting system that fixes many problems regarding the new 3D environment, the world design is so massive at the time, the game is also the pioneer of modern open world in a sense, with it’s non linear approach and the ability to roam freely without being bound by the main objective, not to mention the dungeons and its level design/puzzles, it was all brand new at the time, but it was all designed briliantly, i can’t even believe that it was their first attempt in making a 3D Zelda. It may not be the first game to introduces these mechanics, but it is definetely the first 3D game that does so (in a proper way)

To my knowledge, no other Zelda game has ended with the actual kingdom and the land destroyed. I'm not counting Wind Waker since after that game ended there was some sense of normalcy afterwards ,but at the end of BOTW there is alot still uncertain.
Ok so when I finished the game like 4 months ago I felt like I hated the ending. It was not as meaningfull as to the whole story when you first play it. But today I decided to undust the game and do the remaining side-quest once and for all. And before doing so I decided to look through all of the memories in order as if I am looking a movie and then once I finished, I decided to play again the ending. So, when you do that, this ending has a huge meaning for the whole story and you DO feel like this ending is worth it. Let me explain
Consider that in most memories throught the game the story is about how Zelda struggles to harness the power of the goddess, how difficult her relationship with her father is and how Link and Zelda's relationship develops from the moment he becomes her knight. This is the whole main story. And on the last memory when Link dies, you realized that it was Zelda's true feelings for him that awakens her power. Feelings you see in her diary and in many memories. And in that moment on she knew what she had to do. She stops being the insecure bag she was throught the story and decides to leave Link in the incarnation chamber, even though she knew he was going to lose his memory, and leave the sword with the great Deku tree. Whe she leaves the sword, she wanted the deku tree to tell link something important (That she loves him), but the deku tree stops her and tells her that she can say it herself. That's why when you beat the game and she thanks you and says she always had faith in you, she finishes with one last question: "Do you remember me?". Is the first thing she wants to know because finally her feelings are clear and wants to know if Link remembers her so she can tell him what she feels. And the other important moment from the "secret ending" besides of making clear that hyrule's future is not helpless after you beat ganon (you get closure), is that she realizes that she can no longer hear the voice from the sword and THIS time, unlike all the story you see throught the game, she is ok with it and it's finally happy with it. You finish Zelda's character development. Plus link and her are obviouslly together. So yeah, you don't get a romanic ending (And you never do in any zelda game) but you do get a worth ending for zelda an link's story. Mostly Zelda's.
Theres a sequel coming out! In sure it will further touch in their relationship.
@@LittleVidds I KNOW! I'm so excited about it!! But also is like, I know we are not gonna get any romantic side in it and I was okay with the implicit idea that they are together now. But seeing them afterwards is gonna confirm that they are just Queen and Knight together working in Hyrule and that's it. Hope they do confirm their romantic relatiionship tho, who knows! Either way I'm excited
9611bryant You never know! Nintendo has never been particularly against romantic relationships. I think they should push the sequel to be the second T-Rated Zelda game. It’d be a nice fit for a darker sequel.

I've never personally been a fan of the Link and Zelda couple idea. Not sure why but the idea of Link sitting on a throne being royalty just seems weird. I can only imagine him being an adventuring badass.

Drew Haynes mostly how zelda reacts towards him and how she slowly gets closer to him after he saves her life. i'm mostly basing it off body language and her facial expressions towards him. it's not straight on skyward sword but it opens the doors for possibilities down the line. the issue is link really has no emotion this time so it's really hard to pinpoint him having feelings for anyone. there is paya's diary that link can read where she wonders if link's in love with zelda. i did say it was open to interpretation. you don't have to see it as romantic, and i'll choose to ship them in the game because i like nuance things like romance? not sure why people are making a big deal out of my comment lmao

Just kidding, everyone in Hyrule's thirsty for link so if peeps wanted to ship Link with someone else (like Paya) then they could while the other ships still remain intact. That being said, I still wouldn't mind them being together because they both care about each other very much. We also got to see their relationship develop with Though Mipha liked Link earlier and if they had a thing (considering the Zora armor was made for him and that's made for significant others), then either Zelda or Mipha or both were getting friendzoned at the time. That means he would only after the calamity start to develop stronger feelings with Zelda if they weren't there before (like if he was romantically involved with Mipha). Link and Zelda also kind of look similar enough to be brother and sister, but that doesn't really matter because they're not related. Now that I think about it all Zeldas and link look similar in some way, especially hair color. I do think it's a good ship but I also am pretty nuetral on whether they would confirm it or not, especially because there's also other good ships, albeit this one is more developed. (I don't hate Sidon x Link when I mentioned it earlier, the joke wasn't about the ship being bad, it was more about how I like that ship and I'm talking about Link and Zelda)

I love that after the past 100 years, Link was hesitant to walk next to Zelda as he saw distance beteeen the two of them and started walking behind. But, Zelda, instead of talking to him while looking ahead, turns to him, confesses her remains, says and she’s okay with her weakness. She’s showing she’s okay depending on Link and gives him the smile he wrote in his journal that he craved to see again. Then he runs up and walks next next to her as two equals and friends with silent princess pedals flying around to symbolize love. Amazing ending to an amazing game

Crappy Crap game can be beat in little over an hour
but he also had to hit the requirements for the true ending. DOn't know which these are but i assume it's finding all memories. In that case you also have to beat the titans since that unlocks a memory each and get the master sword which also unlocks a memory. The master sword needs 13 hearts. You start with 3, and get another 4 by beating the titans so that makes another 6. You need 4 shrines per heart so 6 x 4 = 24 shrines he also had to find and beat MINIMUM and that would mean he didn't get any Stamina Upgrade at all.
Sorry but you can't do that in an hour. Beating Ganon, yeah sure. But getting every memory? No way.

I'm 2 years late to the party but the flowers are silent princesses. In a previous memory, Zelda relates herself to the flower and muses that, despite the castle's best efforts, the flowers only grew in captivity and not in the wild. This is a reference to how she felt she was a slave to her "destiny." But now that the adventure is complete and Ganon was defeated, the silent princess finally began to thrive in the wild, representing that the burden Zelda bore was no longer there

The moment you realize that Zelda annihilated Ganon at the end of the game, a feat that not even the goddess Hylia could do to Ganon's original form Demise. Demise was capable of creating dimensions with only a fraction of his power, and Ganon in this game was essentially Demise at full power. Zelda not only held back Ganon for 100+ years, but she also was the one to finally put him down. Sure Link helped, but if Zelda hadn't been holding Ganon back then Link would have been absolutely annihilated like when he fought Ganon 100 years before. This version of Zelda may just be one of the most powerful characters in not just the Zelda franchise, but in all of Nintendo.

I read in the Japanese verison all of Link's entries in the Sheikah Slate was his personal diary entries. So it was from his prespective...and when he talked more on Zelda it had romantic undertones...and as you get all the memories back of Zelda...Link says he's determined to save her and wants to see her smile again with her own eyes. There's none of that with Mipha....so I personal believed it was unrequited. I love Mipha...but like with Ruto her chances of a romance with Link was doomed.

Such he wants to save her quickly as possible and see her smile again with his own eyes. And Mipha's diary entries in the DLC. And I think even returns them when you do the side quests with Kass. Once he learns of Zelda's feelings.
He cares for Mipha a great deal but I don't think her feelings were returned. Even in her diary entries (DLC Ballad) it's mentioned how he's "Perhaps it is his newly acquired height, but I feel he is ever looking past me, into the distance beyond..." Which indicates it's unrequited.
To me the fact that she looks up to her ancestor Ruto...who also loved a hylian (aka the hero of time)..was inspired her. Sadly, that relationship was unrequited as well. So to me that's foreshadow. Mipha and Link's relationship was never going to be.
Link also never mentioned to her about the way he acted. He did so with Zelda. As Zelda had mentioned in hers.
I love Mipha but it's not met to be.

I got this ending on my first run, since I thought it was obligatory to find all memories. I don't regret playing the game blind and doing all the story quests. This is still one of my absolute favorite games yet, and I'm really looking forward to BoTW 2! I hope Nintendo puts as much care into the game as we loved playing it.

Cmoney8 I know I'm a bit late but all of these games end with the game going back to the main menu and when you go to your save file, it boots up to before you beat the main boss
I played the game almost a year after it came out and somehow managed to avoid finding that out so I was so upset when I reloaded my game was just standing in the castle, filled with guardians, monsters, and the entire world is still covered in malice, I thought they might at least get rid of all the malice in the world

Mew Desu The diary you read was actually Zelda's research journal, it sounds like. She has an actual diary inside her room that's a lot different and more personal. But if you want definitive evidence pointing towards romantic feelings, Kass' quest is your best bet, as Emerald Necromancer mentioned.

PowerSporeAJ it’s not confirmed that link has a crush on mipha, not that he also had a crush on Zelda. Link never let his emotions show much if at all after he received the master sword. I guess the idea is it’s up to the player to decide whether or not who link likes if link likes anyone at all
It would be cool if there was a post game where you get to go on adventures with Zelda and go around doing more side quests and rebuilding Hyrule and talking to the people that you saved. But this ending was also really cool.
The whole point of the incomplete endings is that the tale is never finished, there will always be a reiteration of the prophecy

This is my problem with the game, you go through this epic fight , you complete the quest annnnnnnd main menu. Its like none of it happened and you still have the quest to defeat gannon !
This is something most Zelda games do anyways. Whenever you beat the final boss & open your save again, you're booted right back to before the fight.
I agree. While I do think some Epilogue would do the ending much good, I'm still happy with how the story ended.

The Master Sword only spoke when REALLY needed, maybe it means Fi doesn't need to communicate anymore, and thus she won't.
I would love for her to speak with them more though.

The music at 5:49 really gives me chills. This game really did make the franchise come full circle
I'm sad that they sectioned off all of the amazing characters like Zelda and the Champions to just a few scenes, and even more sad that the ending was just a few lines of dialog that had absolutely no impact on the story.
Still a great fucking game, but a killer lasting impact after beating the game should have really been one of their main focuses, not just a last minute add-on.
Remeber, maybe this "ending" isn't the true ending. maybe on future DLC?
tomerz99 Unfortunately, us English fans were not given the full spectacle of the story. In the Japanese one, the story evolves through Link's log entries (In the japanese, Russian and French one, the log quest is also Link's diary as he traverses through the kingdom.).
Zelda's smile at the end would have been more impactful if only the English version went through the first person (Link) log quests. You see, in Link's log entry before defeating ganon, he talks about how he wants to defeat ganon as soon as possible for he wants to see Zelda's smile once again. That's why Zelda's smile was accompanied with an Epic score and dramatic atmosphere, because that was what Link wanted to see from the bottom of his heart.

At the beginning, I thought the Hinox and stone talus was hard. Then, the shrine guardian scout was harder. Lynel exist and I was fleeing to the opposite direction. Eventually, I beat all of them. Then. the final master sword trial was a challenge that I thought i had to prepare before calamity Ganon. Maxed barbarian armor, lynel bow, hylian shield, master sword, cooked Durian foods and attack+++, 4+ divine gift. It was easy because these sets are amazing!
