Only downside that going to be temporary fix, also that can make even more haziness from under direct sunlight depends on what type of fax did you use. My example was pretty severe so I couldn't do anything except sending it down and then polishing.
I tried the 3M Restoration Kit on my 04 X3... I recommend using 600G sandpaper, then 1,500G, and a follow up with Mother’s Aluminum Polish/Chemical Guys VSS. Go deep, into those cracks.
i did not, i cleaned once with the rack and plastic polish, but can't say about my friend x5 lenses, did exacly the same way, but it went yellow in a month... I think the clear coat would be perfect solution for real permanent fix, my is like 80% success and the 20% are missing clear coat!
Most of wd40 is not harmful to plastic or rubber, so you can definitely use it, since it has oil as a base, that would work better than water, but it's going to make a lot of mess, also it could damage the paint. The only thing you got to make sure that is not harmful to the plastic or paint or rubber!!!
@@Makhnovets I don’t why we wee sold the idea of quality and luxury. My X5 e70 has had a water leak, wiper motor failure, power window motor replaced, rear camera not working in hot days and other small annoyances. Yes the headlights are hazy too.
I put wax before polish and looks awsome!

I restored my X5 headlights with the Cerakote kit. Mine were in really bad shape and they look awesome now.
I just bought the same kit! Will be testing it on e92, that has Extremely bad Lenses!) hope to get dope results!)
what's in the water?
It’s just a soapy water.
Curious on them today. How does it look? Did you clear coat after?

I used Glass Machanix protection kit.
What if instead of spraying water we spray WD40?
Ok, not continuously but from time to time, while polishing?

400,800,1000,1500,2000,3000 then scratch doctor paste. Add a top coat of wax or ceramic
