Mahavatar Babaji's given name and date of birth are not known. All called him by the title first given to him by Lahiri Mahasaya who met him in the year 1961. "Mahavatar" means "great avatar", and "Babaji" simply means "revered father". Some of the encounters included two or more witnesses-discussions between those who met Mahavatar Babaji indicate that they all met the same person.
Babaji Cave is situated in the Mountain of Dunagiri(near village Kukuchina), Dist-Almora, Utarakhand. Lahiri Mahasaya learned technique of Kriya Yoga from Babaji Maharaj 1861. The original technique was remodeled by Lahiri Mahasaya into a graded discipline so as to enable the modern man to easily assimilate and master the technique, step by step.
Now the Babaji Cave occupied by the YSS, Dwarahat Ashram.

Brilliant!!! I visited the cave in 2017 and this video reminded me of my every step of the journey. The visit to Babajis cave is one the best things happened to me, I would want to visit it again and again. Jai Babaji !!!

@@jean-pierrecaron we can't See God ,so Guru is Also considered the same as God because it's the gurus teachings that will get us closer to god .Same way the statue system was made in Hinduism and Buddhism...God doesn't live in the statue but since we live in a material world ,we can give certain material things a pious respect and think about god in our hearts and the statue can be our object of focus .because in this age the mind is so weak it keeps running here and there like a frog . Some people travel so much to get to so and so temple and while standing in front of the god statue ,their minds are busy worrying about worldly people ..god doesn't gives his blessings that way ...give him the same or More love than you do to your mom, dad ,wife ,sister etc . Realising god and bringing godly attributes in your life ..like humility and selflessness.

Even water doesn't help so much, but I'd advise a hiker to rest every so often to acclimatize slowly and equip themselves with altitude info prior to the hike. Blessing to you! It seemed it was worth it for you. Again, thanks for sharing.
A quick google check will tell you the altitude of that specific himalayan mountain, if you care to know it.
If your not acclimatized to the high highs and if going up a himalayan mountain on a day hike it's wise to watch for acclimatization.
Especially so if a person is a little older.
