6:36 I love it, counterbalanced pendulums "self-canceling" so I think maybe good on an ocean ship counterbalanced against the waves in one plane, but how could you counterbalance for another plane like North-South AND East-West? 2:40 look at the spinning gear to the lower right. NOT concentric but rather friction sliding gear to gear sliding. All visible sliding absorbs energy from friction.
I looks like one of the escapements that Harrison created when trying to develop a clock for rocking sailing ships.

I made a clock out of a beer can once. Well it was actually a case of beer. Every time an empty can hit the floor, I knew that 15 minutes had elapsed.
I had the same clock but mine ran faster.
