Thanks mate - our door stuck this arvo and would have found it awkward without toilet, shower, meds, toothbrush, etc so my wife and I sorted it out thanks to your video and patient instructions.
Thanks Bill, my filler peice was painted over so i didnt even realise it came off so i was struggling with getting the door off untill i found you vid 😂
Thank you! Repainting house solo. Doing a proper job. Your instructions were easy for a complete novice like me to follow and achieve the desired outcome. My door now works better than it ever has and looks professionally painted too!
Great DIY video thx. Timber wedges are really handy for sliding under a door to prop it up to the correct height, or to take the weight as you're removing the door
Thanks Bill this has helped me as I have a customer who’s track has come away causing the door to drop so I know what’s involved to remove the door, keep up the good work and I saw you recently in Blacktown but was driving so couldn’t say hello
Thanks Bill you helped me fix my door, the issue with mine was that the guiding bracket/piece of plastic at the bottom of the door did not glide smoothly along the sliced crevice along the bottom of the door, becasue of the varying depth of the crevice. So its a bit of a tough fix for me from here, but removing the plastic guiding bracket from the bottom of the frame means the door now slides effortlessly but does sway a bit from side to side because the guiding bracket isnt there to give it a rail so to speak along the bottom. Seen this problem before?
The issue would be with the adjustment at the top of the door. You need to raise the door equally on both sides so you have enough clearance for the bottom door guide 👍👍
My son stuck a toy car in the gap behind his door when we were in his room with the door closed. We couldn't get out. Carpet was already also making it difficult to open as the carpet fitter didn't put the threshold rail in the right place. Had to climb through a gap we've created but not yet filled for a stained glass panel! Finally got it open but need to fix and rethink. This video will help.
Thanks for the video. I have the same roller wheels that need to be replaced. Can you share a link pointing to replacement wheels so I can purchase? I'm in Melbourne - thanks in advance.
Hey Bill great video, have you ever thought of using a track saw to trim the bottom of a door? Not really applicable in this scenario but I was just curious. Cheers
Hi, no I prefer to use a circular saw or planer . Planer is fast with clean cuts especially with the new Milwaukee as it’s very accurate. All other cuts I’ll just use a regular circular saw. 👍👍
The changing of the pocket door is a good idea. It might be a good idea to invest in a hammer, it's pretty hard to keep those wenches in good shape when used as a hammer.

Have had a comb in the cavity for a while. Watched this and decided to give it a crack! My hanging set up was different but still got it done. Thx.

Thanks for the tips mate, you’ve helped me out with a door I have to fix. You want to get rid of the shifter though and use a spanner.
Thanks Bill this has helped me as I have a customer who’s track has come away causing the door to drop so I know what’s involved to remove the door, keep up the good work and I saw you recently in Blacktown but was driving so couldn’t say hello
You’re welcome. I don’t usually work in the Blacktown area , could be someone who looks like me lol. Always happy to stop and have a chat 👍

Thanks Bill!

Thank you!
How do you take of the panel if there is no screws visible?I have an old 50/60s door
what if the filler peice has no screw to take it off and it's just door frame
There is always a filler piece. Sometimes the screws are not visible as some people patch and paint o we them👍
thanks 👍

Great video, but too bad the door I need to replace was installed incorrectly. What would you do if there’s no panel to remove to access hardware.
This chick also enjoyed your video! Who needs a bloke?! 😜
That door was hung upside down to begin with. The taller bottom rail should go... well, at the bottom.
But overall, great video!
Can you use a jigsaw to cut the handle out.
Sure can 👍

But how do you put the guide in on the bottom of the door
took a chance there with the lock position after the door adjustment.
