That single bass drop has sent chills down my back many times while I was getting to know this game. I meant it was some kind of threat. And it fitted nicely in this video. I wasn't planning it.
This definitely isn’t as intense as your vids with the reapers, but the base is really cool and the place you chose for it looks awesome. Keep up the good work 👌
My favorite base that I ever built was one that stretched along the path of the Sea Treaders walking path. I loved watching their migration, plus I was there for poop / clean up duty. Gotta get those precious minerals.
I made a base in the same type of biome, only near to the last escape pod wreck you find (near the large entrance to the Lost River). An electric eel was rather close for comfort and a crab squid paid a visit once, but otherwise, I was a little disappointed to realize that even when you build a base in a dangerous place, it won't get damaged or attacked (in spite of all the evidence that this has happened to other survivors). It is a creepy biome but conveniently located near a lot of resources (though little in the way of food/fish). I built an observatory and a three tiered alien containment unit, and prior to being able to build a nuclear reactor, had to use about 7 power relays to get power to the base from a geothermal vent, as sunlight is not getting down there.
This is a beautiful base. I think this the first video I've seen where someone put windows in the moon pool. I didn't even know you could do that. The bed in the observatory is a nice idea too. I'll definitely be checking out more of your bases.
I can never bring myself to build multiple habitats, let alone in each biome. Only thing i got going was a sensor room for getting resources. I'd wish there was more of a push to settle each biome. Some needed research, unique resources(which there is, in mild form), special rooms that can only built in biome x, something along the line. As wonderful and outstanding the first playthrough is, with all the exploring, for me, it falls off massively afterwards.
Yeah, the trench is a true horror, but sadly there are not many dangerous creatures there. Warpers are as much danger as you get there and when you get healed, it's safer than Safe Shallows.
I tried to build a base at the same Blood Kelp Zone in this video but Warper interrupt me many times. Maybe you should try to build a base at the North Blood Kelp Zone
It's not in this zone. This is a Blood Kelp Trench. There is a Ghost however in a northern Blood Kelp zone. That one is much more open and better lit than this one.
You know, there’s something about being in a base that makes the terrifying oceanic depths of Subnautica look beautiful.
I love the music that plays when you enter an observatory room.

@@OarfishChannel It was unexpected right?
@@OarfishChannel it does the same thing to me
I hate that music
@@justtylergaming1846 LOL
I love how that you straight up just put the reactor RIGHT UNDER where you sleep...
Relatable.

Yeah, well Reapers steal the show, even when compared to other Leviathans. Ty! 😊
If this area is too dark, I believe there's a surface version of this biome too. *with a baby ghost leviathan.*
Yes it’s in the north west
And it's not a baby Ghost. It's an adult.
@@OarfishChannel What? I thought all the ghosts on the map were juvenile
@@matthewreese7710 The ghost on the lost river is juvenile, the ones on the actual Blood Kelp Zone are adults
@@matthewreese7710 anything near the edge I would expect to be an adult
I really enjoy seeing all the habitats you've built, I did a lot of this in my playthroughs and I'm glad to see someone else did too.
Thank you! This game offers almost infinite replayability when it comes to finding a new creative ways to build a base, right? 😄

That would make one long base 🤭
@@OarfishChannel idea that gonna take a LONG TIME but maybe try to connect all your bases?
I love how this was posted nine months ago but people are watching
Now your channels gonna blow up
Yeah! I don't get it too, but I'll play along 😁
I love how you can hear a reaper from the neighboring biome

Yeah! Really looks dangerous, but when you clear the infection the only real threat there stops being the threat - the Warpers.
Tiger plants can damage bases

Nice base
Luv the bed in observatory like “ah yes time for a relaxing nap in my glass hate dome”
Dang you’re a pro base builder nice job. Shoot I couldn’t do that if I tried

Yeah... you don't even need to spend much time in your base if you're doing a story playthrough only. 😐
Built a base in the blood kelp trench as well, got an amp eel that just roams around my base that I’ve named Carl, we have a love hate relationship.
I'm just saying the scariest biome to me is the blood kelp idk why but it is
Warper

I was cured while building this one, so it wasn't much of a problem. Yeah I will build one there at some point.
@@OarfishChannel well, you can make the Northern Blood Kelp Zone as another Ghost Leviathan Observatory.
A bed in a glass observatory?
