    John,
A really good and fun video, son. I'm glad you filmed the fashin show. In the video department, you keep outdoing yourself. By the time you finish the hike you'll be the new G. Lucas.😁 Just be careful along the future way. In the words of Capt. Kirk: "Steady as she goes."
    Love,
    Dad

    The fashion show was fun.
Glad you got some rest. Keep Going.

This was great John, I really liked it. I hope your heel doesn't ruin the rest of your trip and you can enjoy it more. Your friends comment below is right, You have noticeably lost some weight, But you look good!

Congrats to 1 2 mic on his milestone. 73 years young .
Sounds like hot springs soaking might do you some good.
Take some time to heal thoroughly before more hiking.
Move on when you are ready. Good luck.

John, I just returned from my trip but did follow along. I can see you are in pain and look tired but god bless you - push ahead for Jamie !! Wonderful.. You should try to soak that foot in some cool spring water if you can find it. You've lost weight John and look good.. You remind me even more of your Dad !!!! See if you can find some Tumeric... natural for inflammation reducing... Glad to see you have some fun man... you've earned it. God bless you brother.... take your time but you got it !!!

When the going gets tuff…, take your time off, heal up and keep the mind positive. You have done great, keep it up. Enjoying your journey. Anything good rarely comes easy.

Hey John, try some self massage on that calf with a tennis ball. For the tendon from the heel up use index fingers in a ladder motion on both sides of tendon. Recently went through this. Rest up and get back it man.

I did notice your limp. I recommend you go to a doctor and a physical therapist. RICE; rest, ice, compression, elevation. In other words, wrap your achilles and any other muscles in your leg that are hurting in an ace bandage. Put ice packs on it and elevate them while resting. You probably need more than a double zero. Don't hurt yourself. It's not worth it. A week off trail is not going to end your trip, but if you only take a couple days off and push it too hard, your trip could end.
