Exactly. You're always safer in the woods when you sleep off the ground. Don't have any snakes in your sleeping bag. It's a creepy feeling waking up next to a six foot snake. I never woke up so fast in my life.

If you build around the branches like you suggested, it makes the tree house get destroyed by the wind when the branches blow around.
The way he did it in the video will at least make the structure survive a year or two.
Also the tree will grow new branches. As they say in jurassic park.. life will find a way😂
