Nice instructions! But, I have a philosophical question: Why? Why even perform/learn the clean & jerk? Esp. when one can get similar (if not more) benefits from practising the clean & push press, and/or clean & long push press, and/or clean & thruster...?
Hey Coach! Is it possible to do a whiteboard video on how to program double C&J for a 6 week cycle( with the goal of moving up in weight for exp from double 24s to double 28s)? Thanks
Hi coach, could you clarify something about the rack position? I notice all the hardstyle people keep the elbow disconnected from the body. Wouldn’t you get a much stronger drive for the jerk if the elbow was connected to the hip like in the sport style rack? Is there a specific reason for not connecting it in hardstyle?

For a relatively small channel, this quality video is jam pack full of good advice. Much thanks!
Terrific Instruction. Thank You!
This might be my favorite tutorial so far, Louka! Way to go 💪🏽
Awesome! Thank you!
Very helpful video Coach. Keep it up!
The Double C&J is my secret exercice for Kyokushin. It is so effective.
Well done
could you do a video running through those posters on your wall with the levels of exercises and standards? Would be really interesting!
The time will come...
Good exercises, thanks.

Ask Olympic Weighlifters the same question :) The short answer is, because you can put up more weight overhead.

The reason is TENSION. We don't lose it during the rack. Look at Olympic Weightlifters. We take a similar approach to lifting max weight.
