I flew one back in January 78 from Tehran to New York as well as a round trip summer of that year. One of them was a non stop flight from Tehran to New York
@@VikingWings Dear friend, I took many pictures as I had just bought a brand new 35mm canon from one of the electronic shops of Manhattan which I took to Iran and brought it back. But sadly, that was a lifetime ago and other than a few bits and pieces, I have lost everything I had back in 1978

Despite the sanctions of the u.s 🇺🇸 they surely gotten their money's worth out these american made planes just like how they keep their f14 tomcats airworthy presently for it is a well respected bird in the air still up to this day on the battlefield
85 million Iranian love the Tomcat and they believe it is a holy fighter. It has 220 confirm dogfight victory during the war with Iraq and shat down more than 200 Iraqi fighters include 5 Mig 25. All of these victories were during the war with the full imposition of sanctions for parts. The record of shat down of three Iraqi fighters with one AIM-54 Phoenix only belongs to one of Iranian f 14 pilot Col. Adeli. @@nadernowzadi1 yes they bought quite a few of them they love the A340s alot of airlines that's getting rid of their airbus quad jets selling them off to Iran since they doesn't use them for freight/cargo
@@marxxmann8758 Indeed. As much as I love the old Boeing aircrafts, the a340 has one of the best safety records of all jet passenger planes. My cousin has been the chief pilot since his airline acquired them and has had no issues with them unlike some of the other Airbus he flew prior to the 340s
The Queen of the skies has a beautiful child I guess she is called "The Princess of the Skies"
Aka the Boeing 747SP

Indeed the Queen.
What a great tribute to the SP (747 Special Performance). She was the 747 that flew higher, faster and further than any other...
Thank you! Yes, She's the Queen. Thanks for watching.

Thank you! Cheers!
When the sanctions was lifted airbus made alot of money selling Iran 🇮🇷 air alot of A340-300,500,600 which is the workhorses for their airline
They were actually second hand aircraft acquired from other airlines such as virgin Atlantic

Is this particular aircraft still in service
Unfortunately not. Stored in Tehran.
