Both like quirky characters and traits in the people the portray, both have multiple talents outside acting that few knew/know of, both are loving souls that would give to others to assist them without the need for accolades after the fact. I also thought and think that Bob Marley, Heath Ledger, and River Phoenix were incredibly talented and yes, tormented at times, beings. I get why Johnny identifies with them and cherishes them. I don't know much of his writer friend, but I also write, and paint...I do get the other 3 so probably would get him too. I love that his artwork is such an unusual combination of mediums. Johnny has more than just beautiful talent in several areas, but what I most adore is the person he is. The guy at the back of the room, watching everyone else....then stands up and stuns us with something beautiful and deep and true. Truth be told, there are things he's been through that I have as well, so knowing there are others like me who actually care about others and are givers, is a soothing balm for this weathered soul. The oddball who is told feels 'too deeply' gets the oddball who just wants to understand and care and share beauty with others and enrich their lives. I love the unique way he paints and highlights with those markers. I love the white outlines too. He doesn't seem afraid to possibly ruin the whole thing when he adds on more paints. He must know where hes going with it. His art is so much different than some art I saw him pictured with years ago. I assumed he painted those of his daughter and others. Because one person does not appreciate another's work does not make the person spoke about bad or inadequate . I actually believe JD and Heath shared a lot of beautiful qualities and views of life the same manner. Both like quirky characters and traits in the people the portray, both have multiple talents outside acting that few knew/know of, both are loving souls that would give to others to assist them without the need for accolades after the fact. I don’t believe this statement was made in a narcissistic manor but because Heath was younger possibly in a respectful, hopeful manner that they could have assisted and worked with each other in the future had Heaths life not been so short. I also thought and think that Bob Marley, Heath Ledger, and River Phoenix were incredibly talented and yes, tormented at times, beings. I get why Johnny identifies with them and cherishes them. I don't know much of his writer friend, but I also write, and paint...I do get the other 3 so probably would get him too. I love that his artwork is such an unusual combination of mediums. Johnny has more than just beautiful talent in several areas, but what I most adore is the person he is. The guy at the back of the room, watching everyone else....then stands up and stuns us with something beautiful and deep and true. Truth be told, there are things he's been through that I have as well, so knowing there are others like me who actually care about others and are givers, is a soothing balm for this weathered soul. The oddball who is told feels 'too deeply' gets the oddball who just wants to understand and care and share beauty with others and enrich their lives. I hope Johnny gets some really great and blissful next years. He needs and deserves that. He's lost another close and cherished friend recently, and deserves some joy again.

I love the unique way he paints and highlights with those markers. I love the white outlines too. He doesn't seem afraid to possibly ruin the whole thing when he adds on more paints.
