This is, in my opinion, one of the better TV airing videos of Limahl singing along with Mandy Newton close together, especially when they're hand-in-hand. There are a few other, similar, videos of this song and duet but where Mandy Newton is often in the background or where Limahl is singing away from Mandy alone... which I find a bit odd. However, this one is much nicer video of the pair singing together.

I was trying to look up the female singer of this song after recently rewatching the movie, and because of this video I almost thought it was Mandy Newton until I saw your comments! Sure enough, the voice is actually American singer Beth Anderson, who is uncredited in the movie!
You should still acknowledge she brought chemistry to the performance. There is a video of Beth performing with Limahl and not entrancing or as magical as here. Sometimes the performing counts just as much.

Mandy was already Limahls backing singer and dancer for his debut solo work so she was hired by EMI to appear the UK video and TV performances. They were not a couple, it’s just a performance.
