There is a place in Perissa called Visanto, they have a good Nepali chef. We were vegetarian and the family loved the Indian food. They didn't have nan, you have to settle for pita. You will get your usual, samosa, curries etc. Curry comes with rice!
Taking everything into consideration my gut feeling no half measures , budget needs to be taken out of the equation if one has to enjoy the Santoroni vibe at it’s best during season than taking big risk during off season.

Not only the rate at your hotel but you should actually do the grind and find out rates of the nearby lodges. That would be serving a tourist sincerely.
