This is one of the best tutorials I have watched! You are a good teacher with a soothing voice. Thank you for not doing a bunch of un-necessary talking at the beginning of the video. I appreciate that you get right to the point. I tried to use your link to give you credit but it no longer works. I will be following your channel. You are so talented!

I'm watching this AGAIN, because it is so AWESOME, and because you do such a wonderful job explaining!!! The camera angles are absolutely brilliant too, shows exactly what you are doing!! You are an amazing teacher and I think you ought to do more of these technique videos. No one has done anything like this!!! Thank you!!!!

thank you so much, Sylvia. your comment means a lot to me. i will try and do more technique-oriented videos. they just take so long to make however and there's so much out there already.

A friend's bday is in 3 weeks. I wanted to create a w/c card for him. He is fond of indoor plants & his fave colors are pink, lavender & green. I'm am an inexperienced w/c'ist (i.e., watched the TH-cam posts, have the supplies, haven't created anything yet!). I turned to my fave TH-cam w/c'ist for inspiration & ... VOILA -- you delivered! Even though you make it look very easy, o/c my first w/c attempt may be, shall we say ... looser than yours!! ;-) but I'm determined to finally "just do it" & have ordered my ruby satin triangle brush. THANKS FOR THE PUSH !!

This is my favourite video of dagger/sword brush strokes, you are so right all the other just demonstrate the leaves etc, no instruction and often no audible directions as to how to hold the brush . So thank you so much for this, as a complete novice I really appreciate the work you do.

You are doing One Stroke painting method with that brush! It makes very pretty strokes, and makes it easy to create beautiful strokes, flowers, leaves, and effects. Your lil wiggle stroke is called a shell stroke. But, it was pretty neat to see you doing those strokes. Donna has a whole bunch of strokes that can be applied to watercolor.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I recently bought some different dagger/floral brushes. I did the same thing as you and went to TH-cam to see if I could watch some examples on how to learn the brushes. You are the first video thus far out of about 8 or 9 i have watched actually showing "how" to use the brush. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and share it! Thank you for all the inspiration!
