I remember when I was little I was in this store and I came across this jersey it was notre dame I thought it was the coolest jersey ever. I didn't get it but I remember i liked notre dame. Even though I'm a USC fan now. I respect notre dames tradition and the school is so beautiful especially during the autumn season.
We have a great shot to make a run at the playoffs this upcoming season. If we do it anytime in the next few years, it will be 15-16. The team is crawling with talent, and assuming we aren't crushed by injuries midseason (even if we are we are significantly more prepared for them than last year) we should be one hell of a team.
Not the start many expected. Very few thought ND would be 6-0. A few plays didnt go their way this year and injuries happened. Joe Schmidt is back next year along with Keivare, Jarret Grace, and Ishaq. Defense will be drastly improved and I pray that Sheldon nor Ronnie Stanley go pro. Hopefully EG5 improves in the offseason and Kelly uses Zaire as a wildcat qb next year and runs the ball with Tarean and Greg. Hopefully a top ten recruiting class comes in (Soso, St. Brown and a kicker). Everything is shaping NDs way for 2015 and I truly believe the sky is the limit for the Golden Domers! #FromMusicCitytoNattyChamps
Agreed. 2015 is a huge year for ND. They will be one of the most experienced and talented teams in the country and if injuries don't happen, it's setting up to be a title run season. I'd like to see Zaire take over as the starter. He just seems to get the game mentally better than Golson. He has high energy and the makings of a great leader on the field. His arm is pretty darn good too. Golson has an absolutely insane arm, but his intermediate throws always seemed lacking. Zaire can just zip those with little to no effort. He also opens up the read option which isn't an option with Golson.
Forget Schmidt, the way this team takes it to the next level (among other aspects) is with Morgan running point as MLB. As great as Schmidt was this past year, having him take the 1st team reps this spring doesn't benefit him nearly as much as it would Nyles. Schmidt "gets it" just about as well as anyone could running that defense, and because of the leg injury, it is highly likely we see Morgan taking all of the first team reps with Grace as the #2 until summer rolls around.
Tom O'Connell I don't agree, because ND will likely have Schmidt running point at MLB and Morgan at OLB opposite Jaylon. I agree that Morgan needs to see the field, but having Schmidt at Mike makes things a lot easier. It's not just about how Schmidt plays (and you're underestimating his ability), but he also has the defense down pat and can get the other guys in the right position. This greatly benefits Jaylon and Morgan, as they don't have to set up other guys. This is the main reason why ND's defense faltered late in the season.

Actually, ND was nowhere near healthy when they beat LSU. Jarron Jones, Joe Schmidt, Daniel Cage (i believe), Drue Tranquill, Austin Collinsworth, Christian Lombard all didn't play and several others played but were deterred by injury.
The last call in the FSU game was cheap a f*ck we should won... But if were to call "holding" on that play they should have thrown a flag on a FSU player, because he took this helmet off and chucked it so that's a 15yrd penalty so that WOULD cancel out the " holding " call so no matter what Notre Dame should have won! Logic!

ND is ALWAYS good to lose 2-3 game against grossly inferior teams. That's why they average 8-5 in the Kelly era. Every year fans think it's a 10 or 11 win season and every year they choke 5 times. Excuses are served up like hotcakes. So it's impossible for me to get that excited about the Irish. God bless Irish fans, they are optimistic beyond reason.
