Many people aren't privileged enough to have gone to a school growing up where they had animal educators come visit, or are able to afford to go to zoos and get the kind of experience that you can provide digitally.
I appreciate how clear Maya's vision was for AS and it would seem she manifested her designs perfectly. The creator collabs etc. Animal Rescue women are a special breed.
I hope some falconry content comes back from Maya's old content. Good luck with all the paperwork and logistics of that project. I'm so glad with how Alveus grew and I enjoy watching it grow
Wooo welcome Lukas! I’m so excited for the upcoming bird of prey ambassadors, hopefully they can get here before 2026. In the meantime, looking forward to the plant wall, coral reef tank and upgrades to enclosures! Plus the pollinator garden is going to look so beautiful in full bloom this spring
Birds of Prey!?!?!? That’s amazing! I know it must feel really reassuring with most of your staff having experience with raptors and large birds. Y’all are incredible! My guesses are an owl or a falcon with how much the team spent at the bird sanctuary
I’m hoping for an owl (cuz cute) and a vulture or other large raptor for Kayla. Seeing her tear up holding the Harpy Eagle at that sanctuary really makes me hope for a big bird.
@@Kiki-reads oh vultures would make a LOT of sense... they're often frowned upon cos of cultural connotations, but they have such an important role in ecology and are really intelligent birds too.
Been following the journey of alveus since maybe late 2021/ early 2022. It’s absolutely insane to see how far it’s gotten in such a short amount of time. As Maya said, she went through her three year plan in about three months. Keep up the absolutely insane and incredible work y’all do. And happy new year!!!
A big reason they aren't open to the public is as to not stress the animals. 1 on 1 collabs with a camera is better than a crowd. But perhaps @alveussanctuary could do a fundraising raffle, have a couple fans to come visit as the top prize. Would probably be limited to USA only though.
