- Russia and China "will react - and not only politically," if the U.S. deploys missiles in Japan, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday. The statement came as Japan Times reported on Sept. 7 that the U.S. had expressed an interest in deploying a Typhon mid-range missile system to Japan for joint military exercises.
Zakharova also stated that Russia's partnership with China is not aimed against third countries, but Moscow and Beijing could "combine their potential" if faced with aggression. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed in May to deepen what they called their "comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation" for a new era.
The Russian Defence ministry also released video footage showing anti-submarine warships and aircraft of the Northern Fleet hunting for the "enemy's" submarines in Barents Sea.
The exercise is a part of massive "Ocean 2024" naval drills, the largest in the history of post-Soviet Russia.

America nearly brought the world to a nuclear war in 1962 when the USSR put missiles in Cuba (an ally to them), but now have missiles right next to Russia and China but apparently this is just fine. You ignore a great many facts while calling the kettle black. USA tried to take over 72 governments just during the cold war era. Most through CIA driven coups or flat out warfare. Some include: Iran, Guatemala, Congo, The Dominican Republic, South Vietnam, Brazil, Chile, and more recently Venezuela (temporarily), Iraq, Haiti, Honduras, Libya, and of course the 2014 CIA driven coup in Ukraine that has created the mess we have today which aligns with the leaked documents revealing USA's plan to use Ukraine and Israel to push wars with Russia and Iran, and further tensions with China. An estimated 12 million world wide have died either directly from USA created wars since WWII or as a result of American interference. But of course, you just listen to the propaganda saying it's all "their" fault despite clear historical precedence that this is entirely what the deep state wants. I am in no way supporting Russia or China, but I cannot stand by and listen to the level of ignorance pushed by most the people in the comments here. You are all programmed by western media, and will likely continue to vote for the same people who drive these conflicts right up until the weight of your vote vanishes forever.
