I'm enjoying this play through (apart from the crashes lol). It's fun trying to put as many trains onto as few tracks as possible. Here's the collection of all mods I'm currently using including the map. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3417177279 The signals are "UK signals" and "GWR signals" steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2891660321 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2864532392
@@bluewizard i'm struggling with it now, but made some progress. independent lines work well for gathering multiples of one resource. i like the way you organize tracks near the cities though. very realistic.
I'm sure it'll come. Where possible try to always make sure you carry goods in both directions. Moving without carrying something is losing money. You also have to be heavy handed with the game sometimes as the game doesn't always want to do what you want it to. Sometimes you might have to block a pickup of goods on a connecting line if you want the goods to go somewhere else. Don't give the game a choice in where something can go. And if all else fails (if you have access to planes), cheat lol. There's a distance cheat that I showed off in the last series which will make endless amounts of money haha. Im not trying too hard to make it look real but I was thinking the other day that up to the 1960s stations did have passenger and goods combined. At the beginning of the series i did the same thing combining both goods and freight so I could use the same track for both and as the map and cargo grew I started to separate them. I think Wine Town was the latest town to be separated which has upped the capacity for both passenger and freight and allowed me to add new destinations from the stations.
wow your maps are amazing. make mine look so pedestrian LOL. what signal add-on is that?
