There is the slightest difference. Basically unnoticeable in most cases. Especially when you use a mask to target specific areas and reduce the opacity. Try it! Create this effect like in this video. Above that, clip a hue/sat adjustment. Disable it and see the difference. You probably won't be able to tell in most cases.
