@@tosin_is_hungry Yooo, i just listened to the album, I really loved it. I had never listened to MAVI before, honoured to interact with someone involved with the project.
Mavis poetry has resonated with me in a way that no other artists words have. I don’t have the words to express how much his lyrics hit or my gratitude for Mavi and his art essentially changing the way I think and starting a new chapter in my life, but I think a simple thank you would suffice. So thanks to Mavi. Even tho Let the sun talk will always hold a special place in my heart, this album is so great too. I think it demonstrates mavis ups and downs and where he’s at in life now. The way he talks about the relationships in his life, you can tell he cares deeply and wants to share that. Also the way he admits his faults, is admirable. It feels like he’s confessing. The giver and I’m so tired are probably my favorites :)
Avaa. “Until I slumber with my brother on the sea floor.” That was one of the most powerful lines I’ve heard in a long time. My brother went out kayaking one day and was never seen again, so that line really hit home. Super powerful album, thank you for reviewing professor.
Mavi is my favorite I found in the last 5 years. All my other favorite artists (Kendrick, earl, Isaiah, Tyler, doom, Gibbs, Vince) I started listening 10+ years ago
I think it's such good parenting to not keep alcohol in the house! My parents had no alcohol in the home as well, except for a very expensive wedding gift bottle of wine that they used to prop up a broken kitchen shelf, lol. AVAA
AVAA, you should check out this french algerian rapper called TIF, he has a song called "shadow boxing". I think you'd like his stuff ! Merci encore pour vos leçons professeur !!
AVAA, I know you get a lot of recommendations but if you get time I think you should check out the new logic album, I think you'll have some interesting things to talk about
AVAA. I like also like this album Prof. Check out Death Tape 2: We Gon' Need Eachother by Cavalier, Quelle Chris and Denmark Vessey! I think you can dig it!
i understand that this was like less than a minute of the video but the posty hate should be given some ignorance leeway. can't say for others but i don't actively search for music for a specific mood. i just happen to associate what i've been exposed to with a particular moment in life. you'd have to agree that the mainstream follows a set of motifs and most of us are exposed to that and not the niche stuff. i respect your perspective regardless and i am glad to broaden my horizons by watching your analysis. also, maybe you should not edit your videos avaa

AVAA, mavi is truly an incredible artist and lyricist, this album hits so hard, specially that one line on the giver 😭
The giver turned into the best song on the album, I thought it was drunk prayer
