    That's not even a donut thou, this kid doesent know how to drift. A) hes clearly slamming the brakes which is why he loses control so quickly. B) thisbisint even drifting it's just these guys losing control constantly. C) when u drift u don't swing the steering wheel hard, u do it with control, and u constantly hold the accelerator while tapping the brakes every few seconds.
    But ye it's still fun to watch lol just remember these points while drifting

    How long does the pvc last? Thinking about getting a go kart for drifting only, but if the pvc doesn’t last very long then I’m just not going to buy a go kart.

      We have a store that specializes in irrigation and landscaping that sells many types of PVC pipes. There’s a section where they keep PVC pipe that’s been cut in half by other customers and it’s sold for much cheaper than buying entire 12 foot pipe. Anyways, I’ve paid about $30 for 6 feet and cut up whole bunch of sleeves out of it. Google it, maybe you have similar store near you or if you don’t then you can check out eBay. I’ve seen these sleeves there as well. Good luck and thanks for watching.

    • @balabay77
      @balabay77  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I bought my go kart the plastic kit was already installed on it. Tried to find online and it turns out they are not cheap. Here’s a link to something similar but not in yellow www.amazon.com/Bintelli-Racing-Kart-Karts-Plastics/dp/B012BQM0JY
      If you just want your kart to look cool then it’s probably not worth it but if you need it for racing then go for it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      Markivider [mark]
      Hey mark
      PVC sleeves were a tight fit to just slip them on by band even with deflated tires so we used a rubber mallet to slip them on. Hope that makes sense.

    I didn't think that would spin so well lol, have you thought of doing a project with a bigger engine? Like a 250 or something big?

    • @balabay77
      @balabay77  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kade Spade
      Hi Kade
      We were also pleasantly surprised that go kart does much better than drift trike. The only engine that will make any go kart faster is a two stroke but they are hella loud though and cost too much (around $2500 new). The problem with bigger engines is that they weight too much and will make the kart heavier on one side. Maybe some day I'll find a wrecked dirt bike with good engine and make a project out of that.

    • @kadespade5774
      @kadespade5774 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should make a body where the engine is right behind or somewhat under the seat

    • @balabay77
      @balabay77  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kade Spade
      Ok maybe in our future videos.
      I was looking into getting a 420cc (13HP) engine but they are not necessarily faster than 212cc. They just have more torque and top out at 3600 RPM's like the 212s. Removing the governor will increase MPH.

    • @kadespade5774
      @kadespade5774 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you thought if a newer carb and a pod filter? Better air flow and more fuel? That could help a lot maybe

    • @balabay77
      @balabay77  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kade Spade
      It will help for sure. There are many mods for these predators on eBay. Right now this kart goes 47mph but I bet with a few improvements it can fly around 60. 🤠

  • @theonlybass8947

    This video is proof of why karts are not good platforms for drifting. The wheelbase is too short and touchy for it to be controllable.

    • @balabay77
      @balabay77  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keylime Kreations
      Maybe so but karts are much better at doing 360 degree loops than any drift trike can.
      We own both and go kart is our favorite. Thanks for watching and commenting.
