It’s a movie coming out and this is the single for the soundtrack for the movie. I’m guessing the lyrics will make more sense when the movie drop might make for a good 1 2 punch if done correctly.
I feel like it’s about him to an extent like most artists get inspo from their own lives, but I think the album doesn’t have many real-world ties because it’s either meant to be made by Childish Gambino’s character in the movie, about characters in the movie, or both. Interested to see how the whole album sounds and how it fits in with the movie
